Assorted [Yashica Mat, Ilford HP5+]

New black and white scans with my new setup. So stoked the first 2 came out because my developer had gone bad and I didn’t realise and it came out super underdeveloped. Gotta love HP5

Rewetting film

Hi all, I just recently moved house and have a few rolls of C-41 and black and white that I haven’t had the chance to scan and sleeve yet so they are still rolled up. Can I just make up a bucket of Kodak Photo-Flo and run the film in there for 30 seconds and then hang them up to dry to straighten them out? Cheers

Black and white reversal

Hi there, just wanting to pick some brains. I recently saw the video on black and white reversal by Go Everywhere and need some advice on the following.

In the video, he uses HC-110 for his developer. I know a high activity developer is required. Could I increase ID-11 activity by adding Sodium Carbonate? Or even to Xtol? I’m going to be making my own developers from scratch soon so even if there is another developer recipe that would be best suited that uses any combination of Phenidone, Metol, hydroquinone, potassium bromide, sodium sulphite. And is 12 minutes a good starting point for whatever developer I go with?

For the bleach, he uses hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. Is a clearing bath a handy thing to use or just a waste as it’s not permanganate based? And how many times could I reuse 1L of bleach?

For the reexposure step, are LED light enough or would a proper light bulb be better?

Cheers

Chemical storage

Hi all, just looking for recommendations for storing mixed chems. I recently had a batch of ID-11 go bad because I thought I was going to use it faster than I ended up doing (it was stored in a 1L bottle and I was one shotting so it wasn’t fully filled and went bad, completely on me) so I want to mix up my next batch and store it in 125mL bottles ready for one shot developing. What bottles are best? I know amber bottles are recommended but are they all made the same? I can find either wedding decor ones (made for holding flowers, would need to get stoppers for them) for like $2aud each. Or I can get reagent bottles for like over $10-$20aud each which just seems excessive. Or am I just overthinking this? Cheers

Foggy mornings

Hey all, just wondering what people like to shoot foggy mornings on? I have quite a bit of Kentmere 400 and a roll of HP5. I am thinking of pushing to 800 or 1600 but not sure

Photogenic locations

Hi all, just looking for some recommendations for some photogenic vistas and landscapes around the Canberra region. Preferably easily accessible by car. Places in the Brindies with good views. Cheers

Gemma | Kodak Portra 400 | Mamiya RB67 90mm

From my first ever TFP. It really opened my eyes to how underprepared I was. Anyone have any tips for location scouting and preparing poses for a specific model? I have an album with like 50+ pose examples and I wasn’t sure how to use them

Hey all, I have an RB67 and am looking for a 2nd lens. I am looking for a tele and am tossing up between a 180 and a 250. Problem is, the 180 is hard to come by in the land down under and I am hesitant about buying from Japan. There’s 1 180 for sale with slight fogging for $275aud and there’s a 250 with no noted issues for $295aud. The 250 is from a great reputable seller and is the place I got my RB from as well as my Yashica Mat. Which option sounds the best
