Do I qualify for a work permit myself? Are my qualifications needed?

I am a German citizen. My partner wants to move to Canada and I’m open for it.

My biggest concern is my chances of finding a job. I have a German bachelor degree in labour market management from the deployment agency in Germany. I worked full time since 2022.

I have various experience in consultation of jobseekers. 2025 I got a promotion and worked as a Trainer for the deployment agency and trained new hires in methods of communication, how to do consultations, psychological mechanisms, etc. My current position is in change management. I am advising 3-4 different locations from the deployment agency in regards of the changes we are implementing right now. So a lot of psychological, analytical and communicative work.

I am even certified as a systemic consultant (social bindings/dynamics).

So pls give me your honest feedback, if there are job chances for me in Canada throughout various fields (HR, Management, Government work, social work, etc.). I’m not looking for a job in Canada rn. I just want to know how my chances are in general, so I can think more realistically about migrating to Canada.

(If it makes a difference: I am officially severely disabled in Germany due to my autism and adhd but I’m high functioning with an IQ over 130)

Should we marry before migrating to Canada?

My partner plans to move to Canada with a work permit as soon as his studies are done.

We are both German citizens. Due to my bachelor being highly specialised in a certain type of German law, I will prob have a harder time to look for a job.

Would it be easier for me to join him in Canada if we marry in Germany beforehand or does it not make a difference?

25J | 39h | Sachbearbeitung bei der Agentur für Arbeit | Stkl. 1

Heatwave with a dog while being here on vacation

Hi! I’m here on vacation with my dog and it’s my birthday tomorrow so I’m trying to replan my day because of the heatwave.

I traveled here by car, so it is okay to drive for a bit.

Is there a nice sun protected outside option, that is a must-see and dog friendly?

Recognition of polish citizenship

My mother was polish at the time of my birth. She is now German. Theoretically I should have the dual citizenship of Poland and Germany. Practically the German authorities don’t know about it.

I managed to fill out the application for the acknowledgment of my polish citizenship. I will provide them with my translated birth certificate, the polish one of my mother and a copy of my German passport.

Is something else missing?

Next question would be:

with a lot of effort I was able to get the names of my great-grandparents. Is there a possibility the polish government would be able to provide me a family tree of my origin? My family doesn’t know a lot and it’s exhausting to search for more clues in the internet without any real deep and detailed information.

Why are my sides so differently fit even tho I train both equally?? Advice needed!

I (24, f) am going to the gym 2-3 times a week but due to thyroid problems I lift moderately and focus on stretching and overall health.

For reference I’m 178cm, 72kg, Body-Fat around 24,5% on the right side of my body and 22% on my left side of my body.

I do a lot of maschine exercises that require both body halves to work out or use dumbbells (for example: RDLs) equally. Sometimes I feel, that i automatically push more with the left side of my body that is better trained and toned. If I feel that, I try to engage the right side more (for example: leg press).

As i am now in a better mental state, I manage to eat more protein than before so I am enjoying the benefits from going to the gym on my left side of my body. My right side is visually and measurably less trained.

Did someone experience the same? Do you guys have advice to improve the imbalance?

The only solution in my head (atm), is to train my lacking side more isolated and focus on it for the next 2-3 month while including 1-2 exercises that use both both body halves.
