I was crashed into by another driver who took responsibility at the scene. I got their details at the time and reported to gardai. Now their insurance company confirmed that the policy they gave me (and was displayed on the car) was cancelled.
MIBI gave me the details of the insurance on the car at the date, so I can progress the claim. But my question is if there is a legal obligation to give correct details or if I go to the gardai about this will they just say it is a civil matter?
