With my current situation. I have been having a skunk issue lately that has been a nuisance for me. We just bought our house in January and I have been playing hide-n-seek with this skunk for 5 months now. We live in Dallas (Carrollton/Dallas border area) The skunk has burrowed under my front porch and will travel to my back porch different nights. I did originally catch him about 3 weeks ago but he escaped because I put the quick release latch on the corner of the metal frame as opposed to the center (I know silly). Well fast forward to last yesterday evening. I have had a camera outside for the past few days and haven’t seen any movement in the late hours of the evening. Thinking it had been gone I unplugged the camera. In the following days I then noticed a small opening after I had plugged up all the holes. BINGO, this guy is in there. So I set up the trap and a few hours later I get a notification of some motion and lo and behold I caught the sucker. Now I’m seeking advice and guidance on removing him from my property without having to pay a ton of money. I have been previously quoted around 300-700 range for the complete skunk removal service. However, since I caught him myself, I wanted to ask if anyone has had any insight on a certain company or subcontractor that can just remove the skunk. I don’t really care for the cage as much. Just want him gone. Any help would be helpful.
