Guess where I am from, based on the countries I have been to.

Would you support the idea of giving the UK a new capital?
In the interest of devolution and furthering representation. A new capital and parliament could equally represent Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland whirl London remains the English capital and home of the new English parliament.
Many decisions made by the UK government only apply to England, this is both due to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland having their own parliaments but also because England has a much higher population and more development which creates a bias.
The UK government would make decisions for the whole UK and each country of the UK would have their own parliament for country specific decisions.
Religion should be taught in schools and all religions (as well as non-religious beliefs) should be taught fairly and without bias.
Many schools are linked to one religion and teach or practise that religion. Do you think this should continue, or should schools be religiously neutral and only teach about religions rather than promote one?
EU membership should not only be open to sovereign European nations (states).
Scotland is a great example of a potential member if it were allowed to join without becoming independent.
Potential flags for the fictional Federation of the British Isles which reunites the countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
First Image shows a federation flag comprised of a new Union Flag for Great Britain with St David's cross to represent Wales and without St Patrick's Saltire. Northern Ireland is now apart of a United Ireland which is represented by the Green Harp Flag.
The second image is a more simpler quartered flag. Each quarter represents a nation within the federation by using the flag of their patron saint.
The current representatives:
The Founding Charter remains the guiding framework for the community. It establishes a transitional model of governance based on representation, open discussion and gradual delegation of authority as the community grows.
Representatives currently function as voices of the community and its members rather than governing authorities, intended to facilitate structured discussion between members and the nations they represent.
Get in contact if you wish to represent a nation or are interested in any role whatsoever.
Please share this post as the more members and roles means the more in depth and active the community becomes.
This post is also a continuation of the last Public Forum:
All members are invited to participate in open discussion. Topics may include international relations between represented nations, proposals for governance development, expansion or adjustment of representative roles and ideas for how decision making within the system should evolve over time.
The community remains in its early formation phase. Its structure is intentionally flexible at this stage and will continue to develop through participation and discussion.
Do get in contact if you wish to represent a nation, are a citizen of one of these nations or are interested in our continental representative role.
Representative of the Rest
The role is identical to that of the rest of the representatives but rather than representing a nation, they represent all members who do not have a national representative. They still only have a single vote but provide protection and a voice to those unrepresented.
Comment below if you are interested or if you are intrested in representing another nation.
When all nations are invited to a meeting, we should have a relatively neutral meeting place. I put forward that this place should be Akrotiri, British Sovereign Base, Cyprus.
This location has been selected as it is the closest territory to 26.0934803, 27.5037514 which belongs to one of the current five nations represented.
26.0934803, 27.5037514 is the midpoint between the capital cities of the five represented nations.
This post is the first 'Public Forum', these will serve as places for open discussion of any topic and all members are welcome to contribute.
The topic of this post is extremely open but its focus is to promote a dialogue between the representatives and members so that decisions can be made which serve all our interests.
Feel free to discuss practical relations between other nations, while keeping in mind that representatives fo not hold any power until they are given a role of authority.
This also serves as the first good opportunity for non-representatives to make themselves known to who they should direct their thoughts towards.
We welcome three new representatives to the System State community:
Guardians are a new role which function in the same way as representatives, the main difference being that they do not represent any people/members. Instead, they represent the interests of whatever they are guardian of. In this case, the Guardian of International Territories will be present for all events that impact/relate to international territory so that those interests are protected.
Infomation on all appointed representatives can be found here.
Please share this message with any and all who are interested:
r/SystemState is a new community where its members are diplomats. So if you want to be apart of a community which seeks to work together in order to create a future where we decide the outcome, then join r/SystemState.
As of right now representatives are being appointed for every nation, these representatives will help speak for the people so we can decide on how we govern who has the power and more.
So far we have appointed representatives for Portugal, the USA and the UK. As you can see there are many nations not represented. If you don't want to be a representatives then thats fine too, they'll need voices in order to help set up the system you want.
The possibilities for this community are endless becuase you decide how you want to run your nation, what your foreign policy will be, how borders change, how power is shifted, who has what role and more.
Second image shows the British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies
We are still in the process of appointing representatives as we are yet to have the numbers to warrant any roles with significant decision making power.
When we do get to that point however, what would you like to do? It could be anything e.g. president, prime minister, minister for education, european liaison, census collector etc.
Any role that is deemed necessary is available, once national leaders are decided it is up to them how their nation is run. Don’t forget that there will of course be international roles and due to the nature of this community encouraging us to change how the systems work, any number of new roles can exist.
So feel free to discuss what you would like to do, no matter how unlikely it may seem at the moment.
To accurately administer an area, you must know what land you control. Do any of the represented and hopefully soon to be represented nations have any international territorial disputes that they would like to clear up.
Like the previous posts, it would be wrong to enact decisions as merely unelected representatives who, at the moment, only have their own thoughts and opinions to speak on their nation. However, we should start a discussion.
Due to the current inability for representatives to make changes, do not bring forward new territorial disputes. This post is for discussion of ongoing disputes, we do not wish to make more work for someone who may not even be in the community yet.
The following page may assist in your discussion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_territorial_disputes
PS: Many nation representative positions are still open, everyone is eligible but do read the previous posts on representatives and the Founding Charter.
This post is targeted at the representatives but open to all members.
What changes do you want to make, what ideas should be discussed, where do you want to direct your nation etc.
As representatives we don’t have the power to change things (yet) but we should get a discussion going.
Once more representatives have been appointed and we have people for those representatives to represent, diplomatic relations between represented nations will begin.
Anyone can be a representative and there are no official requirements of the role besides what is mentioned in the Founding Charter. If more than one member wants to represent the same nation however then whoever is deemed the better fit (i.e. You live there, understand their politics, etc) will get the role.
With more participation I hope our society can start to grow so we can hand power to our members and start making decisions that should change our world for the better.
Please share this community as the more members we have, the more we can do.
So far we have gained three new representatives:
Representative of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northen Ireland - Jazzbuzzer
Representative of Portugal - Substantial_Mango778
Representative of the United States of America - Independent-Gur8649
This infomation and infomation on any newly appointed represetatives can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SystemState/wiki/representative/
The role of these representatives is to be a voice for their respective nations and the people within them. The representatives are open to be changed if other members wish to take on these roles.
More infomation on representatives can be found under Article V of the Founding Charter: https://www.reddit.com/r/SystemState/wiki/foundingcharter/
We hope to see more representation very soon.
