Toy eater

My 8 month old Lab (mix?), Bailey, is a power chewer. When she bites bits off of her toys, she will swallow them unless I am VERY fast. Is there some method to break this habit?

Dog training

Any recommendations for owner/dog training programs here? I have a young lab mix and she has shown some signs that I'm doing a disservice to her perceived high intelligence.

Dreams

I think a lot of us agree that "Dreams" was one of the worst episodes of the series. But who had the best dream sequence?

Good Piss flow

I really took for granted the laser beam I had as a kid.

A few years ago I started having problems with flow and frequent urinary infections. Turns out I have what my urologist called "wannabe cancer". It *is* bladder cancer, but not life threatening or needing any treatment, just monitoring.

So a lot of the time, when I pee it can be difficult. But every now and then (like tonight), things flow amazingly. It really makes me appreciate these moments of functionality.

What simple parts of life do you feel like you took for granted when youth made it easy? Like getting off the couch without making noise.

New puppy, old cats

My rescue pup, Bailey, with her older feline sisters Tinky (gray, 18) and Jen (tabby, 8) more info in comments

My Neb, Tinky, us quite old. Almost 19 years actually. We are at the end of a pretty severe winter in which she floofed out in a big way. She does enjoy brushings, but only along her back and flanks. All other areas are CLEARLY off limits lol. The areas she will not allow are getting badly matted. I plan to get her to a groomer to take care of this, but it brings up some questions.

  1. Are these mats uncomfortable for her

  2. Given her hatred for home grooming, is there something I can do to minimize this problem

For those who have been in the military, especially during wartime or being stationed in Korea, how has your view of the show changed?

I was stationed in Korea exactly 50 years after the war (I was at Camp Hovey, roughly 15 miles north of Uijeongbu). A few years later, I was deployed to Afghanistan. Watching MASH now has really changed my view of it. A broader range of emotions than when I first started to enjoy the show in my early teens. Some episodes or scenes hit harder. But I can also appreciate the humor more. I often wonder how similar it would have been if I was in a medical unit instead of air defense in Korea or intel in Afghanistan
