When in doubt, pedal it out,

With all the commotion, I thought maybe it could be fun to do a little reddit community ride. This is the time in my day when I am able to ride and I have been wanting to do this route.

Apr 30, 2026 (TODAY), 04:30 PM EDT

Event route - Briksdalen to Kjenndalen | Norway

It's a long shot the timing will work for many, but I figure I'd create an event and share it here! Hope to see you there 😄

If you're interested in a future group ride, drop a morning and an evening time that works for you in the comments.

Hey friends!

We will keep building ROUVY- everything you love stays. Now owned by Zwift, it will continue to operate separately, led by CEO and Founder Petr Samek.

There's a lot of concern and speculation about the news of Zwift acquiring ROUVY, especially around whether ROUVY will disappear or change fundamentally, which is very fair. I wanted to share some clarity and the core message behind this from the inside.

The short version: ROUVY is not going away, and the experience you know today is not being replaced. ROUVY stays ROUVY. ( hitting that message home as hard as I can)

A few key points that matter most:

ROUVY exists and continues to improve because of what this community has built- Thank you!

ROUVY has grown into a strong, trusted platform for riders worldwide. This acquisition reflects the value of what’s been built over time - especially the focus on real-world routes and realistic riding experiences. Zwift saw that value, not something to replace.

ROUVY’s identity stays the same
ROUVY remains ROUVY.

Real routes, realism, and outdoor-to-indoor cycling will continue to be the core of the platform. The mission doesn’t change, helping you achieve your cycling goals year-round.

Nothing changes for your day-to-day use
You can continue riding exactly as you do today.
Subscriptions remain unchanged.
The ROUVY team remains in place, including leadership. Petr Samek, our Founder, is still the CEO of ROUVY.

Both companies will continue operating with independent roadmaps and subscription models.

What changes is the opportunity, not the product you know
This is about long-term strength and focus. ROUVY continues building in the same direction ** realism**, outdoor connection, and high-quality route experiences — with more resources behind it. There’s also potential for broader ecosystem benefits, including Zwift hardware compatibility for ROUVY users.

The main takeaway:
We’re not rebuilding ROUVY into something else. We’re continuing to build ROUVY as it is, with more support behind it.

If anything, the goal here is to double down on what already makes ROUVY different rather than dilute it.

I’m happy to try and clarify what I can, with what I know now. 😄 💛

I've never used another cycling app for a reason, personally I get so much from the visuals. I understand some people don't really watch the screen of the app their using and will tune into something else.

One thing I didn’t expect switching to indoor riding on ROUVY was how much the route visuals would affect my motivation to want to stay on longer and ride more often.

When I started riding real-world routes, I naturally stayed on longer without thinking about it

Curious if anyone else feels this? Interesting deep dive on the topic of motivation
