My sapphic punk band Good Judy played a few gigs in the spring and we're starting to book gigs for end of this year / early next year. If your band wants to come through DC, hit me up! I learned about this today when I went to a rheumatologist about my hand and foot pain. She diagnosed hypermobility and suggest I see an allergist about possible MCAS given my chronic skin rashes and a vascular health professional since I had a vasculitis flare a couple years ago. I also have ADHD and chronic fatigue.

I am learning about therapies and other support that could help me avoid overextending my joints. Did anyone commit to therapies and see life changing improvements?

I am sore all the time and I'm simultaneously really glad to have a useful diagnosis and suddenly finding all my chronic pain more difficult to ignore now that I understand the root cause. I'm very hopeful I can manage this and improve my life!

Hello! Would love to hear from anyone with a breech baby who tried some of the local resources, eg chiropractors, acupuncturists, or anything else. How'd it go? Did it work? Would you do it again if in the same position?

My baby isn't even born yet, but I've been thinking about this and I'm curious how others have addressed it.

My brother is our donor. He is very smart. My wife and I are also smart, but he's more the probably would feel at home with MENSA kind of smart.

I am putting together guidance for family ahead of our baby's arrival and one thing I found myself writing was that it's okay to say so if she looks like her uncle. I don't want people to be weird about that or make it seem taboo. It's okay to notice if she looks like him and say so.

But I realized that if our baby is smart and people credit the donor for that, I'm going to feel frustrated. Maybe jealous?

Obviously it would be a good problem to have for my kid to be very smart and draw this comparison. But has anyone worked their way through something similar who has some advice?

My ideal doctor:
-Can do all basic health procedures *including pap smears*
-Is flexible about making accommodations eg prescribing extra pills so I don't have to refill as often
-Is in DC
-Is a doctor, not a NP
-Is queer friendly
-Takes Cigna (I can check this, but if you know that'd be great)

Who do you recommend? Interested in physicians and gynecologists.

Hello! I really like the look of kitchen islands that look more like antique furniture. I don't need it to do anything other than be a counter and have storage (eg sink and dishwasher will not be in it)

What do I need to know to make this actually doable for our kitchen contractors? Any tips for sourcing? I've looked at buying a piece of furniture that was something else, but idk how hard it would be to add the countertop.

Ideal dimensions would probably be 80” wide and 36" deep but there's flexibility there.

Hi, I'm looking for some urgent help. My wife is in her second trimester and has a trip planned to visit her best friend in Austria. As you can imagine, this trip feels extremely important. We didn't realize until now that her passport is expired and she is supposed to leave on Sunday. She's absolutely devastated.

Is there any available path? To be honest, given how important this is for her I'd pay a lot to fix this problem if it is in any way possible to do so.
