I had a valid business visa from Swiss embassy on 2024 [ Expired on 2025], and now i am applying for tourist visa with family.
1: As per check list , i dont need to provide biometrics again , but i heard there are incidents embassy asks to submitt again because of lack of clarity
So instead of waiting for embassy to figure out about old biometrics clarity , can we still ask to collect again..?

As my daughter will be wearing specs all the time but her passport have photo with out specs.
so for VFS application , do we need to take the photo with out specs..? and i believe in biometric room there will be another photo to be taken , for that as well she need to remove the specs..?

Can we print the documents double sided or all should be in single sided..? i mean at least bank statements can be double sided to reduce the overall page counts..?

so how do we give spacing between flat num and apartment name..?

Could you please let me know these cards will have access..?

If any of these are not possible , i may need to get some other card or add on card so that whole family can get access

I am seeing conflicting messages as and many are suggesting to book via airlines always.
So what exactly the difference when we booked via ixigo/mmt/or any other ..? even with third party apps we will get PNR from actual airlines right..?

In fact i always booked by prior domestic and singapore travel via such third party apps didn't faced any issues

Currently i am planning to book for europe trip and considering its a big amount , thought to get the opinions before buying form third party apps

How embassy is able to identify applicant has done visa shopping previously..?
eg:
2 years back i had Schengen business visa from Switzerland and my flight was on Lufhthansa so my immigration happened at frankfurt and entry and exit happened over there.
Now i am applying for Swiss Tourist visa , how do they know i have visited switzerland in my last travel..? as my passport shows indication of entry and exit on Germany

we are not decided on taking HFC/STP but have one general doubt
1: we are 2 adults with 2 kids in the age of 13 and 11 , i think we will get family card with either of HFC/STP right..?
2: I know , children will be free for all train journey , But what about mountain rides
eg: If we decided to take a trip to Gornergrat/Titlis/schiltron where adults get 50% discount but what about kids here..? Will they be free with family card..?

we will be visiting Switzerland and we are thinking to get the STP for 8 days since it adds lot of flexibility than HFC. To optimize the cost , i am thinking to include the places which are free with swiss pass
We will have 2 bases , Luzern and meiringen/brienz

From Luzern
1: Luzern local sight seeing
2: Mt: Rigi visit
3: Stanserhorn or stoos
4: Visit Engelberg and visit brunni and explore village

5: Move to next base in brienz/meiringen , explore the local areas like Aare Gorge , brienz village
6: explore lauterbrunnen , wengen and murren village
7: Day trip to zermat
8: travel back to zurich to catch flight

from my initial plan was to include tiltis , schiltron and matterhorn , but thought of optimize the cost by removing them.
1: How is the places is shortlisted , is there any overlap in the places..? i mean , am i visiting many similiar places..?
2: Please suggest some other places i can explore with STP

As part of my itinerary, I will land at malpenso and planning to travel to luzern directly for our next 8 days holiday in Switzerland.

Having couple of questions

1: we are planning to get halffare card for my family , but we need to book tickets till italy border right..? , so untill which station we need to get full ticket..?

2:we initially thought ofngetting the ticket once we landed. But looks like for our visa process we need inter Schengen travel docs. So the tickets from sbb can be book like 4 month in advance..?

Or can we get some refundabytickets for visa process, can be from bus as well..? So that we can cancel once we have visa.

2: Anyone opted for visa at doorstep service ..? its mentioned 9000rs , is it per person or for a group..?
3: i was trying to fill out the details before selecting the appointment , its asking for details of accommodation in the VFS site itself , is it something we generaly provide in actual application right..? do we need to ensure this info is same as in application..? [ i thought of get the appointment and then book the accomadation]
