Shock Wave
FDA has approved use of shock wave therapy for bph, although insurance generally does not cover it. I paid out of pocket (using HSA money) for a course of six sessions and I am thrilled with the results. My stream is stronger, I rarely have any urgency, and I sleep 7 hours per night without getting up to pee (used to get up every 2 or 3 hours). RegenePulse makes a shock wave machine and spearheaded the effort for FDA approval. They can get you in touch with a urologist who offers the treatment. Highly recommend.

What do you all think of PAE? Is it worth a try? I want to avoid any procedure that might result in a catheter.

Regenepulse
Have any of you done the Regenepulse shock wave therapy for BPH? Extracoporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) for erectile disfunction (ED) is pretty common now but in the US it’s very new and I think Regenepulse is the only company that offers it. My urologist recommended Aquablation but I’m considering ESWT instead. I’d appreciate hearing about any experience, whether pro or con.
