We'll be giving away an aurora Mk II!
Rules are here:
In case you missed it
Finally pulled the trigger -- build code is ALKMA6-- not really looking for advice on the color scheme, I know it's not for everyone, it's what I like. I don't think I'm really missing anything? any "must have" options I didn't tick off? I'm not a fan of carbon as an aesthetic, so didn't go with any of that. Video is something the dealership sent, specific to my build.
going through final options on a revuelto, the only thing I'm swaying on are the rims. I like the Altaneros, but can't decide between shiny titanium or shiny black (the car color is black -- nero noctis).
I've had a bunch of vettes before this, so I'm really burnt on chrome wheels. It's tough to tell how shiny the titanium shiny wheels are from the generated borchure... The look subdued in the picture, but I'm not sure. Black rims look great imho, but may be too much black given the car color. any user pics of altaneros in shiny titanium and in shiny black would be greatly appreciated !!
Been working on various projects to upgrade the first gen and second gen to 2+ standards.
Putting this here for posterity.
Gen 1 -> gen 2+:
Gen 2->2+ :
Parts that transfer between all gens:
zoning in on my next fun/track car. leaning towards a revuelto, but also considering a zr1x or a Temerario.
I drove the revuelto and the Temerario this weekend. The Revuelto is pretty much everything I expected -- loud, quick off the line, horrible rear visibility, but surprisingly comfortable and while the rear visibility was sucky, it wasn't as bad as I thought.
The Temerario, I hate to say, was kind of disappointing. I had it in corsa/performance, but on a hard pull onto the expressway, it was not really in any way exciting. I know this is a car that needs to be in the upper rpms to really shine, but I didn't expect it to be so uninspiring in the low rpms. If I decide not to go into the price point of a Revuelto, I can't imagine going with the Temerario over the zr1x.
Am I missing something here? I wasn't expecting the Temerario to be a low-end rocket ship, but also wasn't expecting it to be so .. meh.. on the lower rpms.
Granted, I only took each for a 15 minute test drive, would love to hear comparisons grom people who have lived with both cars .
Title says it all, haven't been overseas in a few years. flying from NY. I like JAL just for the American points. They flight I'm on would be an a350-1000 (so, I believe one of their newer layouts).
I've heard a lot about "the room" on ANA, the flight is a little cheaper, but I won't get points on an airline I use a lot.
Recommendations?
I installed a gt haus bi-valve titanium exhaust on my trackhawk.. I have headers and their titanium x pipe. The exhaust even with valves closed is on the loud side (I got black flagged at limerock with the closed). GT Haus recently replaced one of the mufflers, and that's helped, but not a ton.
I'm debating adding 7 or 10 inch resonators, likely ticon. I don't have a ton of experience with them (I'm usually looking to go louder, not quieter). The only place I can install is after the headers, before the xpipe. Anyone have any experience? how much do these really reduce volume? I'm really just looking more to decrease the incessant drone at 75-80mph.
Love the look of the f7 Mk.I, but the MK.II .. was trying it last night in some of the Gilly missions, 8x s2 missiles, 4x s4 and 2x s3 guns, it really is a very heavily armed ship -- other than the shields, this imo is so much better of a ship than the f8 -- the wep loadout on the f8 is just... seems like a major downgrade unless I'm missing something (4 s2/ 4s3).
pretty much ignored the fighters until the end, rammed the polaris once or twice. but, damn, this thing is tough. .. running it solo takes patience.
I know I'm late to this party, but could be my new favorite primary (well, maybe not more than my pulverizer). Also fits an 8x scope.
I'm zoning in on my next car purchase, looking at either a 750s, zr1x, or ... a revuelto.
I know the revuelto is in a completely different price tier than either the vette or the mclaren-- I was leaning toward the zr1x, as it makes the most objective sense, but everytime I look at the reveulto .. damn.
I have the funds for it, but tying up that much is.. not appealing. I've heard that Lamborghini does some short term financing, which I'd rather do -- to those that have experience with buying new, is this correct? does Lamborghini offer any kind of financing? is it worth it? or just bite the bullet and write the check?
I was dubious about solar panels even after I put them on but they are really pulling through. The credit pool is dwindling now that the pool/pool heater and A/C are running, but still better than the $1,200/month I was getting whacked for. Absolutly considering adding batteries to the build
