Minoxidil temporary use?

Im curious about whether minoxidil hair always regresses to the baseline after stopping in the case of transfeminine HRT. Most people would say "YES" But couldn't it be possible in theory for one's DHT levels to not be low enough to permit regrowth BUT also not cause loss? (e.g. someone who had male hormone ranges for a while and no longer does)

Obviously someone with female ranges of hormones shouldn't get much hair loss at temples. But sometimes, temples regrowth for MtF doesn't always happen. When it comes to beard growth, for example, the minoxidil *can* be stopped because the beard follicles just needed a jump start but now can have plenty of DHT to keep themselves alive (i guess it's intracrine/paracrine produced)

So maybe minoxidil can be used temporarily to bring hairs "up to speed" without them all falling out again when stopping, in the case of an MtF scalp? I'm not sure.

On one hand, if it's right that minoxified beard follicles survive post-treatment by making their own DHT, afaik there are no growth factors that scalp hair follicles in an estrogenic/low-androgenic environment could intra/paracrinely induce.

On the other hand, women less often lose temple hair for SOME reason. So if the hair is brought back through minoxidil, why would it disappear again if the hormonal environment is female?

Extreme temple recession, 6 month of experiment with various antiandrogens. Give up?

I thought I had a good chance to recover this hair, because there are multiple baby hairs that look partially miniaturized but not fully. However, after waiting several months, nothing happen to this hairs. I have tried varying does of spironolactone, finasteride, dutasteride off and on but finasteride most consistantly I take it for 6+ months. On finasteride alone my T level is 13 ng/dl and my DHT level is UNDETECTABLE. So idk why no progress!

Bicalutamide could be an option but I'm uneasy to take it out of concern that such extreme AR blockade could cause lasting upregulation after stopping. Ideally I would not like to have to take something forever mainly due to side effects concerns..

Minoxidil i would also have to take forever + concerns about the body hair side effect, blood pressure, and skin aging aspect. Also, I have significant issues with low blood pressure, its potential to lower the BP makes it even more concerning.

thoughts ? It's so so so so bad Omg just look how far away it's from my eye. Huge forehead moment. I have had a huge forehead since young child so I think this is part fully AGA. However, it certainly makes the AGA look worse

My tap water tastes very strong like chlorine/chloramine, and I also have very high PFAS contents in it, so I started buying plastic water bottles frequently from the store.

Eventually I bought an EPIC water filter which from what I see has a lot of certifications and high standards. However, it still tastes horrible. It's really bad guys, it's genuinely like i squeezed some toilet cleaner into it or am just drinking straight up pool water. Bad enough that I'm back to my bottle-buying habit because of it.

If even a strong filter doesn't work what can I do at this point? Do i have to distill it myself or what. Maybe there's something that can bind+inactivate the chlorine/chloramine? I think I read somewhere citric acid can but then it can be harmful for my teeth to sip on all day and potentially trade one weird taste for another. Also I'm not sure if not being able to taste it would also mean my body isn't absorbing it either necessarily. Any thoughts? Could plastic bottles actually be healthier in this case?

Note: I believe that it's chloramine that I'm tasting and not chlorine as the filter has activated carbon or charcoal which should take care of the chlorine

For example, I touch many door handles throughout the day and then eat food with my hands without washing them. Etc. I average getting sick with anything minor (like a cold) probably once every 3 years and anything severe (like with vomiting) maybe once every 5 years. Looking around on Reddit it seems most people get sick at least once a year. Is my infrequent illness because my immune system is well-trained as a result of these habits, or am I just getting lucky?

Hello, I am considering to try progesterone but I am ultra concerned about it converting to DHT especially as I strongly want to avoid taking a 5ari. Is progesterone converting to DHT intracellularly without serum elevation something that's known to occasionally happen in some people or nah?

I've heard a few people anecdotally say that on 5aris their serum DHT didn't drop but they still saw a significant reduction in DHT-caused symptoms, I'm not even sure if that's mechanistically plausible, and if it is whether something similar can happen with progesterone and serum DHT.

I hear some people here say I shouldn't feel any tugging sensation at all or I am getting scammed? I do feel a little bit of resistance when the hairs are removed each time with electrolysis BUT it's nothing like actual plucking at all. It's very mild and minimal sensation compared to the actual zap. So I'm not sure if it's a good tech or a waste of time? Thermolysis if that matters
