Specturm drops 0 filters?

Found the Specturms on a random run. Discovered Spectrums are a thing

Made a build to hunt spectrums. Driver with High Mobility. 3 propellers. Found another Specturm. It dropped no filters.

So not only do I have to roll the dice on whether they'll even appear, I have to roll the dice on if they'll even drop anything? That doesn't seem fair.

Daily Challenges/ Race Level / Vertical Level

Picture mostly unrelated. Only not completely, because that's a picture from OverCurve's own video featuring ideas that they haven't implemented yet that I'd love to see.

I just got to the end of the available content and was a little disappointed. I recognize this is a work in progress, but it's getting dangerously close to becoming boring, and I have an ideas for avoiding that, in addition to some level varieties that I think would make for a good opportunity to try a different load out.

Daily Challenges

What if every day everyone got a set loadout to choose from and a set level to run. Make the level and the gear balanced with each other, but every player can customize their experience. This would give people something to do every day as well as something to talk about online. Plus, it would encourage people to try out different gear. For instance if certain guns were unavailable one day, it might be time to learn about the benefits of spikes.

With this people have a daily reason to come back to the game, even if the next update is taking a little while to get out.

Race Levels

And maybe some of those daily levels could be races where the point isn't just to get as far as you can but also to get there faster. These levels wouldn't have the barriers that you need to defeat enemies to get past. If you want to just try to ignore the enemies and just exit the level, go for it.

Vertical Level

I know the game is called "Corebound" implying that the point is to go downwards, but sometimes you gotta backtrack to make progress. But picture this:

The way forward is blocked by an impenetrable door, and the keeper of the key is at the top of a shaft above it. So you must ascend the tower to face the boss, and when you defeat it, it crashes through the tower, taking you with it. The last phase of the level is in freefall, dodging flying debris and firing at the boss' sub systems until it crashes into the door that previously stopped your progress so you can continue.

Now, the jumps would have to be possible with all load outs including default tank, but if you equip a lighter chassis with several choppers might actually be able to skip whole sections, or at least recover easier should you fall. Or maybe the default tank can't do it, and if you go in with a default tank with no choppers or springs there'll be a warning that this level might not be possible with your load out.

So... is this it?

So I finally beat Kinetic Workshop only to find... there's nothing beyond it.

So is this the game now? Run levels, collect chests, wait for them to unlock, repeat? Hope for better loot until the game becomes boring and easy?

This doesn't fell like a triumph.

How to configure touch input for second screen.

I've got an old touch screen display that I plugged into a computer running Mint, and wouldn't you know, it works!

Kind of.

There's a couple of tweaks that I'd like to make that i can't find the settings for. Currently the touch screen only let's me interact with the primary monitor, but i don't want to make that tiny screen the primary monitor.

Solution 1: Make the tiny screen the primary monitor, but give the "secondary" screen is own panel. Problem, I can not for the life of me configure the second panel to be a duplicate of the first. The grouped window list applet alone doesn't want to be moved.

Solution 2: Tell the touch screen to work with the second monitor. I can not figure this out.

In addition, when i use the touch input, the pointer disappears.

Any help would be appreciated.

A bad made-for-TV adaptation (Dorothy and the Witches of Oz) rekindled my fixation

https://preview.redd.it/wot3rh7xf9ah1.png?width=564&format=png&auto=webp&s=d3263e68823988981527cbbf9c532a70033eb149

I work at a library and was stocking the movies when I ran across "The Witches of Oz" and thought "Huh, I haven't seen that one before." The cover had a really cool looking Tin Man on it, and the cast had some big names. Billy Boyd, Sean Astin, and Christopher freaking Lloyd.

So I checked it out and spent an hour and a half of my life taking this thing in. I can't say I entirely regret it, it definitely had things about it that were entertaining. There were full CG scenes that looked like they were made for the PS2. It had a reference to the Jabberwocky that made me go "hold on" until the wicked witch says she was going to use the Macguffin to take over all the fantasy worlds and started listing Narnia and Wonderland.

And then the Tin Man that hooked me >!shows up apropos of nothing and has a scene that felt like it was added in post. I don't think he interacted with the main cast at all.!< And the guy he fights >!only exists for this scene as well. And the Tin Man defeats him by tapping him in the neck with his own axe!<.

Christopher Lloyd was good for his part, though he played the Wizard basically as Doc Brown. There's even a scene where he's quoting Doc Brown almost directly.

I'm way underselling this movie. Like I said, it was entertaining and most importantly, it was short. There was nothing about it that made me upset or that I thought would make a drinking game. Honestly, there were things about this that I liked better than Tin Man. If you get the chance I would say it's worth spending an hour and a half with a bowl of popcorn and enjoying. Just keep your expectations manageable.

I need an example of a 3d firearm part used in a non-firearm project.

Has anyone used a firearm part in a non-firearm project? I mean a part which 100% was made for a firearm, whether to mimic a commercial part in a commercially produced firearm, or a part for a uniquely 3D printed firearm, but used in a not-firearm. I need this for a follow up video about why firearm detection is folly.

EDIT: I don't mean similar parts. I mean a 100% firearm part being used in a non-firearm project. My intent is to argue that geometry does not communicate intent and that something that could be used in a firearm does not necessarily have to be used for a firearm.

How to patch an resin floor

The floor of our makerspace is a poured resin floor about 6 years old. Recently a crack appeared and then i kicked it and a chuck snapped out.

What do i need to get to patch this? I'm not to worried about matching the pattern at this point.
