"Choom" — Matt Muehling & Chris McQueen | John Page AJ & DL Baritone

Wanted to share this one with y'all. Matt Muehling (Kill Tony) and Chris McQueen (Snarky Puppy) sat down together and played "Choom" (written by Matt and Carter Arrington) on the AJ and DL Baritone. What a cool arrangement!

Both guitars are 27" scale, 23-fret neck, USA-Made - built to feel like the guitar you already play instead of asking you to relearn everything for the extended range.

Curious what you all think of the tone here, especially if you've played other baritones and found the scale length awkward. That's the exact problem these were built to solve.

Noah Levine’s sold out solo show in LA

We got to spend the evening with our friend Noah Levine at his sold out show at the Moroccan Lounge in LA last night. His signature guitar sounded great, but of course it did when you sing and play like Noah.

Were you there? We’d love to see more.

We just launched a signature baritone with Noah Levine (lead guitarist for Noah Kahan) and wanted to share it here first.

Hey r/JohnPageGuitars. It's finally here!

Noah Levine has been playing a very special DL Baritone on stage and in the studio with Noah Kahan and on his solo tour for the past couple of years. We've been quietly working with him on this signature model, and today it's officially available for pre-order.

It's called the Noah Levine Signature DL Baritone. It's a two-pickup version of the DL with a 27" scale-length baritone neck, featuring your choice of Fishman Fluence P90s or Lollar P90s. It also features a Bigsby B-5 tremolo and comes in four relic'd colorways Noah picked himself. Built to order, ships January 2027. For pre-order information, head over to johnpageguitars.com/noah.

Happy to answer any questions.

Our first Ash-body DL. No filter needed - light hitting raw ash grain under a glass-smooth sienna burst

This is just light hitting raw ash grain under a glass-smooth sunburst finish. Every DL we build is a one-off because the wood dictates the figure, and this one came out doing exactly what we hoped for.
Quick specs on this build:
Ash body, cherry sunburst

Our own Bloodline P90s + reverse-angle bridge single coil (our signature design, takes those ice pick highs), 5-way switch

Rosewood fretboard with Private Reserve inlay, top-justified fret dots, ebony tuner knobs

Built by hand in Delaware, OH by our master builder, Chase Gullett. Happy to answer any questions about the build process, wood selection, or finish work in the comments.

John Page Guitars just launched the Baritone AJ and DL, featuring Chris McQueen (Snarky Puppy) and Matt Muehling (Kill Tony)

John Page (Fender Custom Shop co-founder) just dropped a baritone collection built on a pretty clever idea: instead of redesigning the body for a longer scale, they kept the AJ and DL bodies completely identical and put all the engineering into the neck. 27" scale, 23 frets, same balance and ergonomics as the standard models. They're designed to feel as familiar as possible so you can get inspired the second you pick one up, not spend your time re-adjusting your form.

The launch video features Chris McQueen (Snarky Puppy) on the AJ and Matt Muehling (Kill Tony) on the DL, both playing and talking about how it feels coming from a standard scale.

$4,495, same price as the standard AJ/DL models.

Our first batch of ash body DLs are just about ready for final assembly.

There’s a fourth (not pictured) finished in a beautiful trans cherry. Which one’s your favorite?

John Page x Yordan Sucks Art Guitar Collab

This ML Custom art guitar is the first collaboration I’ve done with my friend and artist, Yordan Sucks. I created the ML model (named after my daughter Monique Lanae) primarily for the Asian market over a decade ago, this is one of very few ever offered here in the US. I personally hand-built this one, completing it on June 1st, 2026.

I've had the pleasure and honor to work with some amazing visual artists in my career and with each collaboration I'm always trying to venture into new territory. This work with Yordan Sucks is unlike anything I have ever created, and it's been a total hoot. The artwork inspired me to create the stunning bright pink and totally unique pickguard shape and continue the accent to include the backplate and tuning key button “X” inlays. This exciting splash of color highlights the detail in the sea of detailed black and white artwork that he spent countless hours to create. This guitar represents one of very few instruments that I personally build anymore and a departure from what I think most people expect from me… I think that’s why it’s one of my favorites.

Guitar World gives the John Page Signature DL 5 stars

Guitar World reviewed the DL and gave it a full 5 stars, calling it "a knockout instrument imbued with modern performance enhancements."

For those who don't know the backstory: John Page co-founded the Fender Custom Shop and spent years building for Clapton, Gilmour, Townshend, and countelss others. He eventually launched his own brand, and the Signature line is now hand-built in the USA.

The DL is a pretty interesting design. It's an offset-ish body with dual Bloodline P90s and a reverse-angle T-style bridge pickup. Reviewer Paul Riario (25+ years as GW's gear editor) was especially into the tonal range from that pickup combo, and singled out the neck mounting system (oversized machine screws into threaded brass inserts) as a legit tone-transfer improvement over a standard bolt-on.

Only "con" listed was the price ($3,995), which he acknowledged is just the reality of a USA custom shop build.
