Porting out main line from Koodo, what happens to second line plan on the account?

If I have a primary line and I also added a second line with a cheaper plan, I am not sure if its a promo but I don't see the second line price listed under byod phone plans on the website, will I keep the pricing for that second line if it becomes the only line on the account or the plan will be changed to an in market plan automatically?

How long for VOIP.ms to say number is portable?

I have a landline number which the VOIP.ms DID Portability tool told me that it wasn't portable so I read a workaround was to port it to Mobile first and then try to port it to VOIP.ms, I just ported to a prepaid mobile carrier today and the number still shows its not portable but I think maybe you need to allow some time for whatever database VOIP.ms uses to update itself?

I was wondering how long should I wait for my number to show as portable or even though it's on mobile now it might never be portable to VOIP.ms? Thanks

Rogers seems faster for data while dBm signal numbers seems the same or higher then Telus?

I was at a relatives cottage this weekend and they recently kept the same Samsung Galaxy S25 phone and switched from Telus to Rogers since the data loads faster when you are trying to browse the web on your phone. Since I was there, I compared the signal strength on Rogers to mine on my iPhone 15 with Telus. They had -119 dBm 21 asu and I had -116 dBm so technically my iPhone had stronger signal but it felt slower, when browsing a webpage, it took much longer to load often requiring me to play with the phone's height like keep at waist height for shoulder height to get the page to load on Telus.

I was wondering why that was, could it be at that location, there is more people on the Bell/Telus tower vs Rogers so the Rogers traffic is faster? Or does Rogers use different bands then Telus that make it better in certain circumstances? He says, that he kept the same phone and only changed the service provider to Rogers and its faster. These test were all done outdoors.

He also noticed at work in the city its faster when he works indoors, could it be Rogers frequency penetrates walls easier or it's irrelevant as its the same bands/frequencies as Bell/Telus?

Thanks

Cell phone plan advice

I currently have a home landline and a cell phone plan with koodo. I would like to port the home landline number to koodo but I also don't want to loose the current koodo number. I was going to port the home phone to a second line on koodo which would be be $25/month for the cheapest plan with unlimited minutes.

If I don't use data on that line but have it as a second esim line(primary being physical sim) on my iPhone XR can I still use wifi calling since the reception is not great indoors or they will charge me pay per use data if I use wifi calling?

Also, I intend to use the home phone number as my primary cell number so I was going to port my current koodo number to voip.ms but I have a grand fathered koodo plan, is there a way to transfer this plan to the second line before the number gets ported(like do a plan swap between both lines)? Or I can only use whatever plans are on the market at that time?

I considered using another carrier to have a cheaper plan or go prepaid but I can't do prepaid since I need WIFI calling and I am in Quebec and Freedom mobile is not available here and I Fizz mobile(freedom equivalent in Quebec) says is not available at my address probably because its in the country side and not in a city.

Anything else I should consider to be able to keep both phone numbers while being as cheap as possible with WIFI calling? Thanks!

2012 Honda Civic LX Automatic vibration at idle

I have a 2012 Civic LX Coupe with an Automatic transmission with 106k miles and I noticed an intermittent vibration at idle while in drive or reverse. When I turn on the A/C and the vibration is happening it only makes a really subtle difference, the vibration is still there whether the AC is on or off. I thought the passager side motor mount was the issue so I ordered a new one from Honda at $260 and installed it and it made no difference. I then removed the transmission mount and the torque rod and they all look fine, no big signs of wear or rubber deteriorating so I didn't order these as they cost almost $600 from Honda for both.

When this is happening I don't see the rpm needle bounce on the tach so I didn't think it was a misfire but the spark plugs are original so maybe I should change them just in case. There is no check engine light either.

I read that these cars need to have the valve adjusted? I don't have any ticking sounds from the engine but could that be the cause? Is there anything else that comes to mind?

When I put the car in neutral or park I don't feel the vibration. Thanks

Does credit card car rental insurance claim count on your insurance file?

I was looking for a no fee credit card that includes car rental insurance as I rent a few times during the year but was wondering if ever there is a need to claim would this claim show in my personal insurance file? Or since it's going through the credit card insurance it wouldn't show under my personal insurance?

I ask because if I need to claim and it still affects my personal insurance claim history, I assume there is no point to use a credit card for the insurance and just use my personal insurance?

Thanks

Getting back on a bicycle at 40?

I was recently given a Norco Kokaneee mountain bike and I have been learning how to tune it. It wasn't shifting all gears and now it can shift all of them. I took it out for a test run and from my place its downhill just for a little bit and then there is an intersection so I turned around there. It was fine going there as it was downhill but coming back I barely made it, when I got off the bike I felt like I was going to faint.

I am quite out of shape and part of the reason I wanted to cycle was to get into shape but it didn't seem this hard as a kid but maybe just being more in shape back then made it easier.

I put it in the lowest gear climbing up the hill and my feet were moving fast but the bike wasn't. I haven't lube the chain yet so I will do this shortly but could the reason why it's so hard is because I am out of shape?

If so, I will try to remove the wheels from my bike and fit it in my honda civic coupe to try and bike where its all flat land until I get better and able to leave right from home.
