Pool Party success with basic 301

Pool Party success with basic 301

I took some reddit advice and made several batches of alcoholic pouches in advance. Frose, marg, pina colada, mango /orange. All were huge hit for the pool.party and the consistency stayed great in the freezer for several days. The bags are bigger than they look. One full (60oz or so) batch is enough for 4 pouches.

Pro tip #2 also from this sub, was to garnish your pouch with some complimentary flavors and/or booze prior to or during filling. I went with:

Froses: added cut up fresh strawberries

Margs: splash of Grand Marnier in bag before filling. On a couple did additional shot of Jalapeño tequila.

Pina Coladas: extra splash of coconut rum

Mango mix: added ounce of blood orange mix and coconut rum to bag prior to filling. The dark orange color swirled with the mango and looked awesome. tasted great too!

I made a peach with watermelon mix accent too but it was less popular.

Frose translated a ratio I found into what worked for a full bottle of rose:

750  =1 Bottle rose (went with Josh Cellers, no rose knowledge) 519 = 2 cups plus a little Ocean Spray White Cranberry/Stawberry juice 111 = slightly less than 1/2 cup simple syrup

For the Master of Mixes, each one has slightly different sugar, but my base is two cups mix, one cup booze and 2-3 cups water.

RXV Samsung Gen2 Battery Question

Hi,

I love my 2023 RXV that I bought locally this spring, but I do experience some range anxiety from the stock Samsung SDI Gen 2 60ah batteries. We frequently go about 1.5 miles to the town center via back roads and with a few stops or detours, one round trip takes the gauge to just above 1/2. So I'd be nervous making 2 round trips on a single charge.

The gen2s are easily expandable to 120ah via an 'expansion pack' which would totally alleviate any concerns. However, I only see them available at two online stores: Golf Cart Farm and Golf Cart Garage. Are there other options to purchase the expansion kit? Has anyone done this to their stock Gen2s and can share the results? Where did you get you second battery from?

Super Sweet 100 Update

I didn't know the 100 refers to 100 foot tall plant! It's comical at this point. Fun to witness though!

Super Sweet 100 (Maybe?)

I bought what was labeled a Super Sweet 100 plant for my raised bed. First time that type. It's a GIANT. Is this quick height normal? The flower patterns are just a couple small clusters so far, so maybe its not a 100? Can anyone with experience with these let me know?

To the left is a Rutgers, which is way bushier and seems healthy for a height comparison.

Volume Variablilty on Boom 2

Hi, I recently bought two Boom 2s for backyard listening. They are amazing! However on low volume, on some songs streaming from Apple music on my Galaxy S25, the volume and bass fluctuate levels. It may be just the bass. Anyone experience this? Is there a setting I need to adjust?

Had cart for over 2 months with no issues. Last two outings, cart shut down in driveway after trip to town hub. Seems to be fine after letting it sit for a few mins.

After googling, my best guess is that there is some corrosion on the battery terminals that increases heat causing the shut down. Still very disconcerting if it happened on a public road. Anyone have a similar experience?

I ordered terminal cleaner and brushes, hoping that is the issue but want to hear from anyone who may have had similar experiences?

Im no bourbon pro, but am a little overwhelmed with all the similar priced Old Forester options. Are there any that are hard pass or others that are generally favored so I can work my way through the lineup more efficiently?

main use will be outside by small pool area in backyard. The price is exactly double for the plus. However I am heavily leaning to get just 2 boom 2s at 90 ea for back corners to play in stereo. Will they be enough for outdoor space use? Will I need to position them above pool deck level?
