Hi yall wanted to share a recent scam attempt that I almost got really burned on.

I got a notice that I spent $21.74 at topgolf and then an official looking text asked me to confirm the transaction. I replied "N" since i didnt spend it, and then they IMMEDIATELY called me. It was a 504 area code and the scammer spoke perfect english (with a british accent) and fooled me into thinking that he was actually robinhood security. He asked me to verify the transaction and then I of course said no, and then he said he was escalating the account security to level 3, and then gave me a case number. then he wanted to confirm the case number via an email, it came in looking like this and I read it back to him. So then i trusted him and he said there was a 2.5k trip transaction that was declined. So he asked me to READ another 2FA code to him. This one came from the legit payment service and i think it was to actually authorize the payment. thankfully, the transaction declined and then i got suspicious when i remembered that robinhood will never call you. Anyway i hung up after that. Normally I dont fall for traps like this but this one was v sophistcated and I almost got scammed so just wanted to share w other people

aside: robinhood gold card is the only major CC where I keep getting sus transactions or near or actual fraud. thanks for protecting today but pls step it up!!

I heard there's a new drop next week, but are they gonna open up any more? is there an official announcmeent anywhere?
