Help me find my 1st Coach sighting (not pictured)

I’m trying to figure the name of the first Coach I ever saw, which my bestie got as a gift when we were in junior high. I can picture it so clearly but can’t find it. It looked very similar to this one, the Compartment bag, same shape, color (British tan), flap placement, and turnlock, but was smaller—more like 7” wide by 5” tall—and it had a thin non-adjustable (and non removable) handle. It was brand new in 1985-6. Any ideas?

Plaza

My new (to me) bday gifts to self. I searched long and hard for a large Plaza in this color, affordable and in decent shape, after seeing one of my grad students with one that had been her grandmother’s. It reminds me of the first Coach bag I ever saw in junior high when my bestie’s aunt gave her a little British tan bag—not sure of the style but a smaller, rectangular version of this one—and we were all enchanted. I can still picture it over 40 years later. Plus I was happy to score the book charm for almost-retail price on Poshmark after loving reading my first one (Sense and Sensibility). Has anyone heard if they plan to do more books?

Bag Name

Does anyone know what style this is? Google image search says Musette but the measurements don’t match (16" wide, 13" tall, 5" wide)

These are from an online seller, the Coach Chain Tabby 35; something looks off to me but not sure?

For those of you doing even rows of stamps on blank (unlined/undotted) paper, are you measuring/marking before you stick, or otherwise? I’ve seen a bunch on here lately that look perfectly even/lined up and wonder if you have any tricks.

Book design weirdness & question

Does anyone else think this was a strange choice? The magnet being on the inside of the front cover means the book is partially open even when shut (bottom left). Putting the closure on the front (bottom right) would’ve made more sense, right? Also I can’t believe they didn’t do a little ribbon bookmark—would’ve been cute and very useful for a book too small for regular bookmarks. With all that said, I do love it! Does anyone know if they’re going to keep coming out with new titles?

Value question

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but is a bag inherently more valuable the older it is? Like if two bags are the same style, same condition but one is ten years older, is the older one worth more? Or are there other factors to consider?

My first tabby! I’m so excited and in love, BUT she’s my first light-colored bag and I’m scared. Is there anything I need to know/do? I’m even scared to use protective spray for fear that it’ll change the color (literally all my other bags are brown/black!), but should I?Do I need to worry about color transfer from jeans/dark clothing etc? Oh light-colored leather Coachies, share thy wisdom 😀❤️

Did I miss something about this now being prohibited to sell? Or was it never allowed and my stuff just slipped under the radar? I’ve sold a few things recently but now it’s not letting me. (I realize there are a lot of strong feelings about this out there—not asking for those, respectfully—I’m just curious about the PM policy.)
