What happened to Clayton day? It’s starts at 12pm now 1:40pm it’s completely empty.

They advertised online 12pm everywhere. So came to stop by and there’s no booths no nothing. Just empty. The stage is up that it. I guess it starts later but why lie about the time?

Best way to manage inventory accuracy when pallets are constantly being repacked/split?

Looking for advice

What is the best way to find a ghost pallet? Period. If you go in and you checked it inventory daily and a pallet goes missing. And you check the system and you can’t trace it.

Current process is:
Trucks come in daily
Pallets are unloaded into coolers
Pallets are scanned into locations in the system
Inventory is checked daily against what’s physically there

The biggest issue is repack.
A pallet leaves the cooler and goes into repack/production, where it might get split into multiple pallets, mixed with other product, relabeled, etc. Then it comes back out as different pallets. That’s where inventory tracking started getting messy last year.
Last year, it got to the point where around 100 pallets were unaccounted for. They went into repack, and after that there was no clear trace of where they ended up. So they ended up letting go of some people.

But basically, the pills are taken from the cooler into repack our scanned. So they should have a tracking, so I’m not sure what we went wrong last year.

There looking for a Inventory Manager position at my warehouse, but I’m really unsure if I should take it. It would look good on resume and give expierence.

The person currently in the role is on maternity leave. Before her, the warehouse manager was handling inventory and he ended up getting fired. That already feels like a red flag.

The main issues they deal with:

  • Pallets go missing, and it’s your responsibility to figure out what happened to them
  • Forklift drivers check incoming fruit, but sometimes the size is wrong and no one catches it until later
  • Then inventory is off and you’re expected to explain why

My biggest concern is: what happens if you can’t figure out what happened to a missing pallet? It sounds like you’re still held responsible even if there’s no clear answer.

On top of that, I’ve been told there’s basically no support in this role. They prefer hiring internally because it’s hard to bring someone new up to speed, which makes me think they’re kind of desperate.

Then peron you report to is in another warehouse. She is known to be unprofessional curse and stuff like that. She would send emails like THIS IS NOT I ASKED FOR, DO IT AGAIN MUST BE DONE BY END OF DAY!!
