How to get pals to focus on a specific target?

For example in the arena fights, how do I get my pals to all focus on taking out the opposing tamer instead of the other pals? Is there a specific way to command them, or a specific accessory or weapon I need? TIA!

Recommendations for good crab rangoon?

I have been craving crab rangoon lately and would absolutely love to hear where I can find some really good ones! I prefer mine a little heavier on the cream cheese, but I'm willing to try anything!

How do these people get medical degrees???

https://preview.redd.it/a1wf76j4gafh1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=2530b19f51e8db00223b863b45692cfcad10e0f3

I work at a medical clinic and was talking to one of our GPs today - someone who is new to our practice but has been in practice for literal decades - and she said something that just made me want to go lie down.

I was in the lunch room eating a granola bar and she came in to ask me a question. She stopped when she saw I was eating and asked if I was busy, and I just joked and said I was treating a low blood sugar and it was fine, I could talk. She looked all concerned and asked "you have low blood sugar??" and I said yes, I'm a type 1 diabetic, I deal with hypos all the time and have been since I was 2. She got all interested and was like "are you on a pump??" and I said no, I take basal and bolus injections, and she looked me dead in the eyes and said - I kid you not - "but insulin doesn't cause low blood sugars!"

I gawked at her and said um, yeah it does... literally insulin's job is to let glucose into your cells and keep your blood sugar balanced... and she amended and said "no, basal insulin doesn't cause lows" to which I once again had to reply that yes, it can. It's still insulin and if you let it do its thing and you don't eat enough/move more/are suddenly more insulin sensitive, you'll still drop. And she looked absolutely scandalized and then put on the most patronizing expression I have ever seen and said "okay, okay," and quickly moved on to the question she had come to ask me.

Like... I know a lot of doctors don't know jack shit about the ins and outs of type 1 diabetes, but learning that insulin lowers blood sugar is something you pick up in high school biology!!!!

We're cooked, y'all. They don't even teach insulin in med school anymore. 💀💀

Tall shadow figure in a fedora-type hat and long trench coat?

I was talking to my mom today about some of the paranormal stuff we've both experienced in our lives and she told me a story about when she was in her early twenties and living in Poland and she saw a shadow figure. She was living in a little apartment above a cafe where she worked as a waitress during the day and one night, she woke up and saw a tall shadow figure - somewhere between 6 and 7 feet tall and wearing a trench coat and a hat that was kind of like a fedora with a wider brim - standing in her bedroom doorway. Her landlord lived in the suite next door and the woman's son sometimes stayed over at their place and back in those days, they didn't tend to lock their doors as it was a safe little area they lived in, so at first she thought it was the woman's son and she called his name, but he didn't respond. The figure eventually moved closer to her bed and she got a feeling of intense fear and ducked under her blankets and started praying. The feeling of fear lifted after a while and she fell back asleep without ever looking around to see if the figure was still there, but when she woke up in the early morning, there was no sign of it. She also confirmed with her landlord that no one had been over that night and that the outside doors were closed to the apartments so no one could have gotten in.

Years later, when my older brother was a teenager, he woke up from a nightmare one night to find a shadow figure that he described exactly the same way standing next to his bed. He panicked, started yelling for my mom, and by the time she ran into the room, the figure had vanished. My brother also felt an intense feeling of fear seeing the figure. My mom was shocked when he told her what he'd seen because she had never told him about what happened to her, yet his experience matched hers so closely.

A few years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and rolled over in bed. I looked toward the foot of my bed and saw a shadow figure - exactly the same as the ones my mom and my brother had seen - standing at the foot of my bed... except I didn't feel any fear. I said hello, asked who it was, but it just stood there completely still. It was facing sideways, not directly towards me, and I blinked a bunch of times to clear my eyes thinking I was just seeing things, but it was still there. I eventually just closed my eyes and went back to sleep because it wasn't bothering me. I've also just had a LOT of paranormal experiences in my life and I've gotten bad vibes from some of them, but not this one, so maybe I just wasn't fazed? Idk. Anyway, I woke up again some amount of time later - I'm not sure how long, but it was still dark, and the figure was still standing at the foot of my bed. I tried addressing it again, but it still didn't move, didn't turn, didn't vanish, just stood there. I went back to sleep again, and the next time I woke up it was gone.

Has anyone had an experience like this? Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Could this be some kind of intergenerational curse? A demon? A spirit that's somehow connected to our family? Why did my relatives get really bad feelings but I didn't?

Who knows, maybe it was just a sleep paralysis demon lol, but I'm really curious to hear what y'all have to say!

A feeling I'd never had before or since - maybe paranormal?

This happened about 18 years ago.

I was working as an instructor at a local college, teaching paramedic students. I had just started the job and one of the admin girls at the front desk was telling me about a particular student from the last class that had just finished their didactic portion and had gone out on their final practicums. She told me that he was a nice enough guy, professional, and they'd never had any kind of trouble with him, but that he had a very intense, scary sort of energy that made people nervous and that they never left him alone with female staff or students because he made them uncomfortable. I, too, am a woman and she told me that if he ever came in while I was alone in the office, to call for someone else if I felt unsafe.

At the time, I laughed and thought that there was no way that someone could have such bad energy that they could terrify me with their mere presence. She made it sound like this guy was a demon walking around in a human suit and I just shook my head and wrote it off.

Fast forward a few weeks and I was in the front office grabbing a textbook from a display behind the counter. I was crouched below where you could see me from the entry door to the office and I was alone at the desk. All of a sudden, this energy that I could only describe as cold filled the room. It felt like all the air had been sucked out of it and like something terrible was about to happen. I heard a male voice say hello, clearly not having seen me there, and as I stood up, I was faced with a student in uniform that I'd never met before. He smiled and introduced himself and I realized that it was the student that the admin had warned me about and just like she'd said, I was suddenly intensely uncomfortable and anxious and felt like I wanted to bolt.

He hadn't told me his name, I hadn't even heard or seen him come in when I felt the initial wave of cold and fear. It had preceded him like some kind of fog. I was just about to say I would go and fetch his instructor for him when the admin who had warned me about him appeared behind me. Later after he'd left, she told me that she'd heard his voice and had immediately come out so I didn't have to be alone with him, and I told her that I couldn't believe how right she'd been about him.

Now, if it had been a case of he'd told me his name and THEN I'd felt the chill, I would have written it off as preconceived notion, but I felt that even before I knew he was there. And to this day, I've never, ever experienced anything else like it with a human being. I had a similar feeling one time in my mom's old house when I was doing homework and suddenly felt what I could only describe as a demonic presence manifesting in the living room behind me and causing that same terrible, awful chill and feeling like I would die if I didn't get the hell out of there, but there was no one actually physically there at the time, just the feeling of that demonic presence.

I can't imagine a demon would be walking around, pretending to be a paramedic student, but I don't know what else it could possibly have been. Anyone have any thoughts or theories?

If you could customize your Dexcom alert sounds, what would you pick?

My partner was just watching an old Vine compilation and that "it is Wednesday my dudes..." Vine came on and the guy screamed and I just said "I wish I could make that my low alert" and it got me wondering, what would y'all change your alerts to if you had the option?
