Why are so many newcomers on the fence about Raiders?

Y'all, some of the YouTubers and media outlets covering Raiders be getting on my nerves. 😂

It just bums me out that the franchise is so niche in the west. Nintendo is really appealing to newcomers with the price point, inclusion of multi-player, multiple trailers and directs, and introductions to the concept of Splatoon as a whole.

I’m still unsure why many casual or newer fans look at Raiders—despite sharing the same art style and core mechanics—and conclude that it "isn’t different enough." It’s unclear what they’re expecting to see.

Comparing the $20 DLC called "*SIDE* Order" to a $50-60 Spinoff game feels like a reach.

Outlets and content creators outside if the community aren't helping much either.😆

Beyond not having a Switch 2, what are some other reasons people seem very wary of the game?

New Enclosure, First Time Owner! I Need Some Opinions!

I'm adding a lot more bedding, but I'm just brainstorming the lay out.

The platforms are very modular. They come in 6x6in and 12x12in and have 6/7in stilts. If you another shape or idea, please let me know! I'm very open to suggestions.

The clear container will be the sand bath, the fence will be in the bedding but still visible, and the bridge on top of the hideout can go anywhere.

Other Notes:

Moss will go in the cracks of the bendy fence (dw 😆).

Sprays will be put afterwards.

I have another bedy bridge/fence so that can go somewhere else.

Anyway, tysm for reading!

What Fans Need To Recognize Going Forward

I really enjoyed this take! So much so my comment has become a post 🙃😆.

Personally, I'm finding it difficult to congratulate Sakura when I know she's taking the spot of someone that was more qualified. When an opportunity is taken away from a hard worker, my(and most people's) first instinct is to say the hard worker deserved it more. However, if the person who took the opportunity is using it to their advantage and outputting the same results, there should be no worries.

Artistry and talent are so subjective. Sakura WILL improve as a performer, but in a different style then Ayana. It'll be difficult to judge who would have made the better member when Ayana and Sakura brought two completely different results to the table.

People who preferred Ayana's skill over Sakura's star power will have a hard time fully accepting any improvement or growth Sakura has going forward. People who prefer Sakura's star power over Ayana's skill will inadvertently align themselves with Hybe's descion making by defending Sakura from hate (✅️) and criticism (❌️), just like HXG has been doing this whole show.

I don't think we've had enough time (or even a debut) for fans to identify whether Sakura was the right choice. Debuting a non-english speaking minor with adults in a foreign country where she could be easily manipulated was never the right choice and show Hybe doesn't have the best intentions (which is a given but I've seen some people trying to down play it). Still, the cards were dealt. Now, as fans, we have to hope Hybe x Geffen play their cards right.

Going back to OP's analogy; Son, Jay, and Mitra were looking for an orange at the end of the day, not an apple. People who wre promised and want an apple are being handed an orange. Maybe their's a different place that'll have the apple we wanted. 😂

Who knows-perhaps the apple was meant to bring it's flavor to a different recipe~

Anyway, I wish the best for Ayana and Sakura!

Very well written original post OP!

Going to be at the Houston show tonight! Hopefully we'll get close enough to the front for her to see this!

I called in advance and a sign this size is allowed alongside a small gift in a mesh/clear bag.
