Need to let go of our cleaner, not sure how to do it +

We have a cleaner who comes every week for 2 hours. She's been with us a year, and although she's been great, she's been going through some very had personal times. She's asked to get paid weeks early, she's called off 3 times in the last 8 weeks. We've started to notice things are really slipping. She also is having a huge custody battle for her kids. We've tried to communicate but it's like she isn't hearing our concerns.

She's essentially really going through it. Unfortunately, our household relies on having our home cleaned routinely and well. We are so incredibly busy, between our careers and our kids, we need the house cleaned.

We've decided to go with a company so they will ensure they are adequately staffed and able to clean the home as scheduled. It's actually a little cheaper because our cleaner is $40/hour in a VERY low cost of living.

So, I'm not sure what to say. How do we let her know? We loved having her clean but we cannot operate our house is the cleanings aren't getting done. I feel awful, but it is no longer a good fit.

Rogue 31 $200 Facebook find!

I saw this on FB before we left to Japan for $300. I messaged the seller, and she was 2 hours away. I didn't have time and decided it just wouldn't work. Seller had original receipt, price tag, dust bag AND retail bag!

I came back, it was still available and marked down to $200! Drove 4 hours round trip for her. This is my absolute favorite bag of all time, followed by Bella/Lori.

Gave her a good cleaning and I love it. Another 31 for my collection!

Went to Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon -Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo +

And it was BETTER THAN YOU'D EVER EXPECT. I cried a little watching it because it was such an overwhelming experience. I grew up watching Sailor Moon in a very, very small town in Wyoming. I can't believe I made it to Tokyo, but I was able to watch this show.

Very healing. Overall, amazing.

Coach Ginza Store Haul!

Wonderful experience at this store! The staff, as all Japanese service so far, was wonderful. Loved what I ended up with! Grand total spent was $880.

With an upcoming drop, just a reminder of the used quality bags available +

I found this Lori for $100 on Facebook. She was dirty. She was scratched. She needed love. And after a few fours, over a couple of days, she's gorgeous. I didn't take before pics, but, in the second picture is where she WAS scratched.

I'll be passing on most of the upcoming drop, I think I've found my love for the second hand market. Especially after my rogue 31 find for $400. Half the price of the current rogues and she's better than my new one.

So, I'll be sitting this out and looking on Facebook and eBay for my next find. Best of luck to all those shopping!

My new to me Coach Rogue 31 in Dark Denim vs my new Coach rogue 31+

I purchased this for $400. And I would do it AGAIN. Ugh, I love it. I love it so much! The blue against the suede interior?! 😍😍

I love my new black rogue. It's beautiful. The leather is nicer. The weight is similar IMO. The size? Similar but the older rogue is a little more spacious and easier to get into. I do appreciate the magnetic closure on the new black rogue.

This purchase did make me realize, the used market is full of bags that are cheaper, and well made. Black rogue 31 was $800 with tax. So, this used rogue was HALF the price.

I don't know what one I'd choose

But... I don't have to choose, and I love both!

The owner of locks and Loaded salon sued me

(reposted with personal info removed)

I'm posting about a case that occurred in open court, and is public record. This is my personal experience With Locks and Loaded Salon. I've used reddit for over a decade and it's the only social media platform I use publicly.

I see people asking for Fort Collins salons recs on this subreddit. If you're looking for a recommendation for a fort Collins salon, here is my experience with locks and loaded.

After a service in 2021, I posted an honest review. In response, the owner didn't just threaten me—she actually sued me for $7,500, the maximum allowed, though she claimed my one bad review cost her over $30,000 in damages.

Throughout the process, she insisted the haircut service never even happened. We went to mediation, where Julia (thr owner) was insistent that my review was a lie; she didn't want me to address or edit the review—she wanted to penalize me.

This caused a significant amount of stress for me, my partner, and my family.

She finally had her day in court, and after the judge heard all of her evidence and all of my evidence, the judge found that I was truthful and that I could not be blamed for damages. She had her day in court and she lost.

All I wanted was for my review to be left up, but she took it down. I reposted it a few times, and she claimed harassment and over 30k in Damages.

Again, this is my personal experience. And truth is an absolute defense!

I was so worried it wouldn't ship. I was actually convinced it was a glitch of some sort that it was even available. Did everyone else have their ship as well?? Did we all get super lucky?

We moved here in 2024 and our experiences with the medical offices are insane. Canceling appointments without notifying us, making mistakes and not caring, condescending staff.

It's WILD. I'm an RN, I couldn't imagine working somewhere that operates like these places do.

I guess just a vent. I feel like the act this way because they can and they just don't care.
