our boy cronus let us handle him for the first time today :)

(pic from a month ago, couldn't get any while handling) but it happened! my boyfriend stuck his hand in there and he kinda just climbed right on and let him take him out, then jumped rather calmly between our hands for a few minutes before we put him back :3 im so proud! the only other crestie i've had was a petsmart rescue with lots of issues that didn't live as long as i would've hoped, and she was wayyy more shy than him so it's kinda crazy to have one this brave LMAO😭 he's only a couple months old! my previous (nirn) didn't let me even touch her til over a year into having her!

start of a bump or normal irritation?

i got it on 5/27, so almost a month, it doesn't really hurt or anything..but i'm not sure if the swelling is supposed to have subsided yet or not😩 been rinsing 2x a day with saline and that's it...as my piercer recommended bandaid antiseptic but i know damn well that's not good for new piercings😭 (i have others but this is my first cartilage)

keep an eye on yall's kids😑😑

teenagers ages 12-18 have been breaking and entering into the abandoned shoppers world in parma. riding e-bikes in the walkways and parking lots, harassing people, throwing rocks, cheesing cars, littering on purpose, for MONTHS too. security and parma PD shouldn't be parenting these kids. huge groups of up to 30 at a time. know where your kids are at, what they're doing, and who they're with. this shit is getting ridiculous. i've had a pregnant woman come into my store in TEARS because a group of them were circling her with their bikes, ridiculing her, calling her fat, and making her feel threatened.

i 🖤 lord huron

this band has truly changed my life. my outlook on everyday things has improved so drastically even further than like therapy and medication has taken me😭😭 idec how corny it sounds. my fondest memories i was listening to lord huron. since my middle school warrior cats days. in the car with the love of my life, who was ready to take on new hobbies he'd never tried and music he'd never thought to listen to, on the way to the metroparks. on the way to the pet store to help me care for my reptiles better through my broke depression. tearing up in the car on the way home from tennessee, seeing a familiar sunset for the first time in a very long stressful week. mountain views in utah, beach views in florida. it's all them. bless these men, truly. 😭🖤 i hope to every star in the sky that they'll come to cleveland one day, and if not, im driving to the nearest show next tour.

fitting rooms are not your bedroom.

why are people getting worse and worse about leaving fitting rooms an absolute DISASTER? trying on the same dress in the same size in every color just to leave them all inside out in a bunched up pile. i can be standing right there at the counter and they leave it all in there. no care in the world. they don't even let me know, i just have to find it. on the floor, slung over the hanger knobs, everywhere. they really don't care anymore. who tf raised these people? these are GROWN ADULTS. children genuinely treat the fitting rooms better.

beginner vivarium

$525 later..LMAO

ordered my girl serana (and skink's) new homes today, very excited! (4x2x2)

they're arriving saturday, but i don't really have plans for her vivarium. she's a very big, heavy, destructive girl, that LOVES to climb, so i'm honestly not sure if i can even use live plants for her. so, mostly, just looking for advice and pointers if anyone has them! i'm already experienced in plant keeping outside tanks, so ANY plants you've had good luck with will be good suggestions! i'll also need to get more rocks and sticks and such, but i've heard horror stories of people's babies getting scraped up on their bellies😣😣 what kind of rocks do you guys use? i know slate is good, but can be hard to find in my area sometimes, if i have to buy some i can. smooth creek rocks? we've got lots of those round us.

show me your setups! it will be very helpful🖤🖤

shoppes at parma nesting goose

we've got a nesting goose in the parking lot. people will not leave this poor girl alone. i've had to clean up chow mein and chicken from around her while at work twice now! it's causing her to get swarmed and attacked by seagulls. not only that, but i constantly see kids chasing her around! what is wrong with them😔😔😔

best greens toppers?

hello! i've had my boy calcifer (halmahera) for about 3 years... and i've been working at improving his overall care to be better than when i was a clueless teenager and didn't even know he was probably wild caught, including his tank and all. he's been getting a wide variety of greens, fruits, and veggies along with his prized bugs (i do dust with calcium/multivitamin). i'm wondering if what i've been giving him is good for his overall thriving?

the main staple greens i've been giving him:
-collard greens (his favorite, but i found out about goitrogens, so i stopped giving him that)
-organic baby arugula (he's not sure but he kinda likes it so far)
-dandelion greens (not his favorite, he tries to avoid them unless it's smothered in egg yolk so i mostly stopped offering it)

his most frequent fruit and veggie toppers are as follows:
-blueberry
-raspberry
-blackberry
-grated carrot
-cucumber (mostly water, i know)
-half a grape or a whole small one
-bell peppers (he likes all colors)

his current proteins:
-hornworms (he gets them maybe once every 2-3 months as a big treat or on his birthday since they're fatty)
-superworms (i understand they're hard to digest for most lizards, so it's not a "staple" necessarily but he goes CRAZY for them)
-egg yolk (heated to avoid bad bacteria for my boy, it's his absolute favorite he LOVES eggy time)
-dubia roaches (sometimes he's not into them and spits them out...they're a semi recent addition after we got a colony for our leopard gecko)
-plain chicken breast (not as common, since it's not always practical)

so with all that said, i'm wondering, could i give him anything better? what other fruits and veggies could i try giving him to boost his nutrition? any other safe greens i could offer? he's kinda picky, but i'm willing to try buying anything at least once.
