30 Best fiction books - 30 weeks challenge for the remaining of 2026

Been an avid non-fiction reader for most of my life. Over the years, I’ve read a solid amount of non-fiction, but after sharing my collection here, I realized fiction has probably been a major blind spot in my reading journey.

This is the post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Indianbooks/comments/1rqnvk6/just_flexing_my_book_collection/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

So, I’m starting with Dostoevsky, and for the next 30 weeks remaining of 2026,

I’ll be focusing mostly on fiction — some of the best novels and literary works I can find. Depending on the length, some books may take 15 days or more, but the goal is to seriously explore the side of literature I’ve mostly ignored.

In hindsight, maybe the trolling was useful after all 😅

Is it normal for Indian wives to become this possessive after having a baby, or is she overreacting?

i have been with my current wife for 5 years, and we have a child together. But nowadays, she has become very suspicious of me. She keeps asking why I have 3 different Instagram accounts, why I haven’t uploaded any pictures of her or our child on any of them, and why I blocked her on 2 of those accounts.

It’s very hard to deal with all the suspicion, and I don’t like talking about these matters it makes me uncomfortable.

But over the past few days, things have become more serious. I sleep in another room because child is crying at night and I have to go to the office in the morning. That has also become a problem for her.

Sorry for my English — my head is hurting from her constant nagging.

What's the scope in export?

I mean generally, what's the scope in export if you want to do brokerage or you want to do any type of export business, for example if I want to start exporting medicines in African countries with a tight budget (around 5-10 L) , and I have all manufacturers and white labelling ready... Can I jump into it thinking over time 2 years or so, i can make consistent money from it, in any form ?

What can I expect to earn ?

I know it's a silly question but I am 30 now working in retail pharmacy, and I want to pivot my life into other stream of income, if I don't start now I may be forever stuck into retail.

Merchant Pharma Export vs. Commission Brokerage: How do you stop Indian manufacturers from bypassing you?

Hey everyone,

I currently run a retail business in India and I am completely trapped in a 15-hour daily operational grind with thin margins, high SKU fatigue, and zero leverage. I want to exit this local retail pit and pivot my core strengths—high-ticket B2B sales and pharma domain knowledge—into international trade.

I am currently debating between two specific vehicles to enter the export market:

Merchant Pharma Export: Private-labeling standard generics via third-party WHO-GMP manufacturers in hubs like Gujarat or Himachal, registering the brand/dossier, and selling directly to wholesalers or hospital networks in semi-regulated markets (like East Africa or CIS countries).

Pharma Export Commission Brokerage (Indenting Agent): Acting as a pure matchmaker. Connecting international buyers directly with licensed Indian manufacturers, earning a fixed 5% to 8% commission, and carrying zero product liability, licensing hurdles, or asset drag.

My Dilemma:

On paper, the Brokerage model looks like the ultimate asset-light leverage play because I don't have to handle logistics, compliance, or capital risk. However, knowing how the ground reality works in India, I have a massive trust issue. Factory owners have endless jugaads to bypass an NDA or a broker on the second or third order once the connection is made.

The Merchant Export model seems to create an unbreakable moat because I would own the brand registration, the trademark, and control the financial flow (Letters of Credit). But it obviously requires more compliance, initial friction, and legal setups.

My Questions to Active Indian Exporters:

For those acting as pure brokers/indenting agents, how do you actually protect your commission? Is the fear of being bypassed by the manufacturer a real constant struggle, or are there bulletproof ways to secure your cut long-term?

Is jumping straight into Merchant Export as the principal the only real way to build an autonomous, scalable business under real Indian market conditions?

If you were in my shoes—looking to maximize high-ticket B2B sales skills while keeping operational hours down to a manageable 8-hour day—which vehicle would you choose to escape the domestic grind?

Should I just join an export class to learn the ins and out before jumping into any conclusions?

(Note: Just to clarify, this query is entirely based on my own observations and reading of the market. I did use an AI tool at the very end simply to help polish up the grammar and structure before posting.)
