Any good youtube channels/playlists?

Hello! I actually have been trying to learn Japanese on and off for many years but I am still at a very beginners level. I am trying to branch out and try other things for retaining information. Does anyone have any good youtube channels or playlists that teach basic conversational skills, grammar, or hiragana/katakana?

LF: Simple/modern human/humanoid characters to attack!

Hello! It's my third or fourth year on art fight, but the first year I forgot to stalk pages and bookmark before it began! Whoops lol. I'm looking for human/humanoid characters without like INSANE detailing. TO CLARIFY: Simple does NOT necessarily mean boring. I just don't want to spend like 5 hours making sure I get every single pattern exactly perfect on an outfit. Modern isn't required, but I do have more experience drawing more modern clothing! Feel free to send any cool characters you've got in the comments and I'll try to get to yours when I can maybe (sorry in advance if I'm unable to!)

I have a big soft spot for characters with specific fashion styles (examples: gyaru, scene, y2k, lolita, etc;). I also LOVE drawing plus sized characters. I can draw thinner characters too just fine though!

Edit: I'm on team Tragedy, but Im okay with friendly fire!

Is alters having different symptoms common?

Hello! My name is Kane and I am the host of our system. I’m still navigating things so I might not explain well.

It’s been a little complicated, but I think we have 3 alters who are based loosely on our core to some extent, or still partially identify with that part of us. Core in this case meaning the identity we had before our first ever split. Me and Octavia were the first ever two alters I guess.

I took on all of the “weak” and “inferior” qualities of the core, while Octavia took on all of the “strong” and “superior” qualities.

I front most of the time including for our appointments with our psychiatrists and therapists in the past. We were diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder upon turning 18 alongside our existing OSDD disorder (although we’re currently being evaluated for DID).

Anyway, I assumed for some reason that all of our alters experienced the same symptoms of BPD as I did. Of course, upon thinking about it I realized that’s not true at all. Octavia’s symptoms actually much more closely resemble Antisocial Personality Disorder.

Obviously I am not saying she has it, or asking for a diagnosis. But I guess I just need reassurance that we’re not weird or that it’s impossible for us to have such differing symptoms?

Not Sure What Computer to Get

I don’t know the first thing about computers. I have a lot of questions and thought this might be the place. I have only ever owned one of my own which I got for free from a friend when I was 16 and had my phone taken away lol. It is old and doesn’t work the best but I was mostly fine with it.

I turned 18 a few months ago and was thinking about buying a new laptop. It’d be my first ever big purchase so I want to make sure I do it right. My girlfriends brother knows a lot about computers and told me my old one sucks. I believe him because it can’t do a lot.

The computer would be for mostly recreation like gaming, writing, maybe digital art here and there… I want a computer with good storage and that doesn’t crash when I open a program that requires a bit of horse power. For example, I really would like to try getting into blender 3D modeling and animation. What should I be looking for in a computer that serves these purposes?

I’m not sure about external system units because again, I know nothing about computers at all… If my questions sound silly, I’m sorry. Is it a good idea to get one of those too? Do some laptops come with them?

I don’t really have a set budget because I’m willing to save for as long as necessary in order to get a good one. If anyone has any recommendations for computers I’d appreciate that too. Or if you have any resources like youtube channels, articles, websites etc; that can teach me more about them, that would be great as well. I really don’t know anything at all.

Can’t Stay Awake but Have to Drive. Any tips?

Sorry if this is posted a lot, but I’m in a tough situation. Basically I want to know how to keep myself from falling asleep during the day, if anyone have any tips.

I’m not diagnosed with sleep apnea yet, but for as long as I can remember (at least in my teenage years, I’m 18) I have slept for longer than most of my peers (8-14 hours most nights) and still always been exhausted throughout the day. Recently it’s gotten a lot worse. I’ve been sleeping through alarms and getting up late for school almost every day, I take naps (which I never used to) for up to 5 hours after school, and everytime there’s a dull moment I start to doze off.

Usually I wouldn’t care so much, but I am in charge of driving myself to and from school everyday. There have been multiple times in the past month that during these 10 minute drives I haven’t been able to focus on driving or keeping my eyes open. I know it’s not safe and I should pull over and try sleeping until I feel better, but my attendance is terrible due to my health and hospitalizations for other things. I cannot afford to miss school if I want to graduate this year, but I also can’t catch a ride to school with any of my family members since I oversleep everyday. They’re all already gone by the time I wake up.

Like I said before, I’m just looking to see if anyone has any tips for keeping themselves awake? The best I can do is forcing my eyes open as wide as I can and not blinking until I absolutely have to. But the moment I blink, my eyes don’t seem to want to open again.
