Finally got the Amazon Pay ICICI Card after a 6-month wait. My credit card journey has come full circle!

Today, I finally received my Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card, and it genuinely feels like the end of a small journey.

This was actually the card that made me start building my credit profile. I applied for it as my first credit card and got rejected. Instead of giving up, I worked on my profile.

Over the next few months, I got:

Swiggy HDFC (my first card, pre-approved after the ICICI rejection)

Slice

SBI PhonePe Black

Axis Flipkart

Since ICICI has a 6-month cooling period after a rejection, I waited patiently. As soon as I became eligible again, I applied... and got instantly approved. The card arrived today, and it feels great to finally have the card that started this whole journey.

Honestly, it's a nice feeling to achieve something I had been waiting for.

Now that I have pretty much all the cards I originally wanted,

I'm thinking about simplifying my wallet and closing a few cards that overlap, while keeping the best combination for cashback and long-term benefits.

I'd love to hear from long-time Amazon Pay ICICI users:

Any tips to maximize this card?

Any hidden benefits or things new users often miss?

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to learning from the community.

Axis Bank blocked my genuine ₹50k TV purchase on Flipkart No Cost EMI, asked me to email them, then told me to use another payment method 🤡

I was trying to purchase a TV worth around ₹50,000 on Flipkart using my Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card on a No Cost EMI offer.

The transaction was declined multiple times. Since it was a time-sensitive deal, I immediately called Axis Bank customer care while attempting the purchase. The representative asked me to send an email regarding the issue, which I did.

After investigating, Axis Bank replied and confirmed that:

The transaction was genuine.

I was the one attempting the transaction.

The decline was due to their internal security/risk monitoring systems.

Their solution?

"Please attempt the transaction using an alternate mode of payment."

I'm genuinely baffled.

I was trying to use a Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card on Flipkart for a legitimate purchase. The transaction was genuine, I contacted customer care immediately, and after reviewing the case, Axis acknowledged that I was the one making the purchase.

Yet their final resolution was to suggest another payment method.

What's the point of having a credit card if a genuine transaction gets blocked and the bank's solution is essentially "don't use the card"?

The most frustrating part is that the purchase was on a time-sensitive No Cost EMI offer, which could easily expire while the issue is being investigated.

Nobody could explain:

What exactly triggered the decline.

Why a genuine transaction was blocked.

Whether future Flipkart No Cost EMI purchases will face the same issue.

What has been done to prevent this from happening again.

Has anyone else faced similar issues with Axis Bank credit cards, especially on Flipkart or during No Cost EMI purchases?

Screenshot of Axis Bank's response attached.

Looking for a 1 BHK in/near a gated community around Masab Tank (within ~5 km) – need advice

Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking for a 1 BHK around Masab Tank, preferably within a 5 km radius, and would like to know if 1 BHK units are commonly available inside gated communities in this area.

A few questions:

Do gated communities around Masab Tank, Mehdipatnam, Banjara Hills, Lakdikapul, Khairatabad, Somajiguda, etc. usually have 1 BHK options?

If yes, what's the average rent range I should expect?

How do people usually find rentals inside gated communities? Do I need to contact societies directly, brokers, security offices, resident groups, etc.?

Are there any specific gated communities or residential projects you'd recommend around this area?

I've already tried OLX, NoBroker, MagicBricks, Housing, and pretty much every app I could find, but haven't had much luck finding suitable options.

If gated communities aren't realistic for a 1 BHK in this locality, I'd also appreciate recommendations for good apartment complexes or residential areas nearby, along with the best way to approach them.

Thanks in advance.

Did Slice Secretly Change the Fire Game Rules?

Hey everyone, is anyone else facing this with the Slice Fire Game?

Earlier, after using my chance, I'd usually get around 4–5 "Try Again" opportunities. But recently I'm only getting a single chance to play, and there's no "Try Again" option at all.

I've already redeemed all the monies I had accumulated. Could that be the reason? Or has Slice changed the game rules/terms recently?

Just wanted to check if this is happening only to me or if others are experiencing the same thing.

Help needed!! - Please suggest me a 55" tv under 40K - 50K

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the sub and looking to buy a 55-inch TV online. My main priority is gaming, so I'd prefer a panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. I'll also be using it regularly for movies and TV series.

I've spent some time Googling and reading various Reddit threads, but the more I read, the more confused I get. My budget is up to ₹50,000, though I'd ideally like to stay under ₹40,000 if possible.

Could you suggest the best options in this price range and any models I should avoid? Thanks in advance!

SBI card approved via SMS, email & IVR but tracking page still shows "application processing

Applied for SBI Card (PhonePe SBI Select Black) recently, completed digital KYC, and now I’ve received both SMS and email saying the card is approved and will be delivered within 7 working days. Even SBI IVR says the card is approved.

But the application tracking page still shows “application is being processed” / “an executive will contact you shortly.” I also can’t login to SBI Card app because it asks for card details which I don’t have yet, and the credit limit isn’t visible anywhere.

Has anyone else faced this delay between approval and card generation? How long did it take for your card details/virtual card/credit limit to appear after approval?

Anyone here using SBI PhonePe Select Black? How long did approval take after digital KYC?

Applied for the SBI PhonePe Select Black card day before yesterday and completed the digital KYC on the same day itself.

After that, I got this message from SBI:

“Your application is being processed with tentative credit limit ranging between Rs. 80,000 and Rs. 1,00,000, subject to verification of your application.”

Then inside the SBI app/status page it says they may need additional information and that a representative will contact me shortly. But till now no calls or updates from SBI side.

For people who already got this card approved, how long did the whole process take after digital KYC? Just trying to understand if this delay is normal with SBI or not.

Got an Axis Bank Cashback Credit Card recently.

During application, it clearly showed: ₹1000 welcome benefit (₹500 Flipkart + ₹500 Cleartrip)

₹0 joining fee

I even took a screenshot of it.

Activated the card and made my first transaction on 21 April. Didn’t receive the vouchers, so I mailed them.

Now their reply:

They’re saying my card was issued under “First Year Free (FYF)” and that this offer does NOT include welcome benefits.

So basically: What they showed during application ≠ what they’re honoring now.

I’ve already sent them the screenshot proof and asked them to re-evaluate.

Has anyone else faced this with Axis? Do they usually fix it after escalation?

Feels like straight-up misleading onboarding.
