1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Streamliner

1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Streamliner (Stromlinienwagen) is a one-off aerodynamic masterpiece developed for the Berlin-Rome endurance race. Featuring a lightweight aluminum body and an astounding drag coefficient of 0.36, it reached a top speed of 185 km/h (114 mph) powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged inline-eight engine.

Originally commissioned to win the 1938 Berlin-Rome race (which was ultimately canceled due to geopolitical tensions), the Streamliner was repurposed by tire manufacturer Dunlop for high-speed autobahn endurance testing. To minimize wind resistance, Mercedes engineers fitted the chassis with a teardrop-shaped roofline, flush door handles, and fenders that encased the headlights.

Abandoned Beach Homes Flyover

The abandoned homes on Crescent Beach, FL are part of a row of stilt houses situated along Old A1A, just south of the Matanzas Inlet and north of Marineland. Decades of severe coastal erosion and hurricane damage have washed away the original highway and land base. Check out this community post for more info/pics: Abandoned St. Augustine Beach House

  • Android Auto/Camera System: Carpuride W903 (Amazon)
  • Gear by Julian phone mount (Etsy). Shown with iOtte clamp head (also compatible)
  • RAM-B-316-1U with flexible 18" rod (Mounts to passenger seat post)
  • Also added some old Ram Mount parts I had from other projects like the cup holder

IKEA KLIPSK

It's cheap, folds flat for storage, and works great as a "table" in the E. It's basically a folding bed table for around $15. The RAM mount has not been installed yet but I'll probably use a RAP-B-378U to mount phones and stuff on the surface.
