I have a new diversion called centering

Hi. I'm the co-creator of direct drive. There's a mini game in there called the calibration mini game that I think everyone hates but I thought there was something interesting there so I made a game.. really, a "diversion" called centering that you can play.

It is a diversion at the intersection of meditation, gaming, and flow states.

It is arguably the simplest game you'll ever play, and a game that cannot be won.

It uses only the accelerometer. Give it a shot let me know what you think

Free and Open Source remarkable and unusual Ambient Audio Visual experience

Hi everyone - For a year I tried to realize this idea I had to algorithmically draw a field of cubes based on my observing how I do it as a person.

I tried this with Perplexity, gemini and OpenAI.

ALL failed!

Part of the problem is that to do what I am doing requires every point, every line and every face created by my algorithm to be accounted for so that the algorithmically (not generatively) created result NEVER crosses over itself but will fill up the entire screen over time before starting over.

I tried Claude as a last resort, and I kid you not: in 90 minutes I had a working prototype.

So, a couple of things:

Go to my website https://alienConsumerSciences.com (linked in this post)

TRY the 2D and 3D versions of what I call Mandra Corners

READ the papers on the algorithm and the collaborative experience

EXAMINE the completely interactive dev log on that page

PLAY the game I created (based on code I wrote for a playdate game ) called CENTERING (the simplest most complicated game you will ever play at the intersection of meditation, gaming and flow states)

Everything I have mentioned is available at https://alienConsumerSciences.com

PLEASE check it out :)

Always free and open source, NO dependencies, runs fully in a browser!

Is using AI to help code things consider differently than using AI to create or art or story or text or something

So I'm in a unique position where I have a deep background in technology and music and can code, but I'm able to do things with Claude in minutes that would have taken me a week.

But that's just me using it to reach very specific and very well thought through ideas that I have trying to do something.

Is this viewed the same or differently than when people ask if people are using AI?

Here's my work

Ambient Audio Visual experience that is unlike anything you've seen before in 2D and 3D

A game I've been thinking about for a couple of years that is as simple as possible and remarkably complicated

a couple well outside of the mainstream gamey things...,

Everything mentioned below is free and open source so isn't really commercial…

I tried vibecoding what I'm about to share with you with Gemini, with perplexity, OPenAI/ChatGPT and I'm sure with something else and none of it worked until I tried Claude and that was over a year of trying with the other things

Here are two projects I made with help from Claude based on my own algorithms, some of my own code and probably 100 pages of dialogue between me and Claude to get to the place where I got with these things.

This is my website for my research and development company and the first release is a thing called Mandra corners, which is based on an algorithm that I came up with from viewing how I draw a page full of cubes. It's an ambient audiovisual experience in 2D and 3D. I guarantee you is unlike anything you have seen recently.

- best viewed on the largest screen possible with the best headphones you own

And this is a game… Really a diversion I've created called centering which lives squarely and very successfully at the Nexus of flow states, meditation, focus and gaming.

Please check them out 😄

And consider that if you wanna make games with AI, maybe this pathway involving things that are completely done in JavaScript inside the browser with no requirements is a very, very fruitful way to go.

Let me know what you think and good luck!

Hi! I created an algorithm based on how I doodle a page full of cubes, then spent a year trying to get an AI to code it for me. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini all failed, but Claude was able to understand what I was trying to do.

So, I made it an ambient, audio visual thing to enjoy. 2D and 3D versions. Watch on the biggest screen you have and wear good headphones 😃

I spent about a year trying to build this. The idea: an algorithm that draws the way a human hand draws cubes — one line at a time, spreading outward from wherever exactly two edges meet.

After 16 days of collaboration with Claude I finally got it working. It now has seasonal color aging spatial audio with HRTF positioning, bell sounds as each cube completes with ping-pong delay and cathedral reverb, drone voices that migrate between faces like bees between flowers, and a breath pause every hundred strokes.23D version. Both are self-contained HTML files — open in any browser. Headphones strongly recommended. alienconsumersciences.com
