Where do you file car accident report in Woodland?

I need to make a police report for an accident. Not sure if its Woodland PD, county, or CHP. Anyone in the Woodland area know?

My grandson stopped at Costco in Woodland today on his way to the UC Davis game. When he came back out to the car, the front end was smashed (like radiator bent smashed) and a note was on the windshield. The driver only left a phone number and first name. When he called, the guy gave his last name, insurance name, but no policy number.

The amount of damage is pretty severe, considering it was in a Costco parking lot on a Saturday. The car was parked in back near the gas station when it happened. Costco's cameras don't go to that part of the lot. Nobody in the parking lot when he went out saw anything.

Does Mohela ever respond to emails?

I use the contact us link to email Mohela and I've uploaded documents to them. They never even send a thank you, we received your email response. How do I know they are even getting what I send?

I swear, I want to send the same email daily until they respond.

No, I can't sit on a phone for hours to speak to someone.

Update: They finally responded today, but kicked the can to the Fed. The response in the chat with the Fed was useless really.

Missing documents

Mohela's website shows no documents sent by me. I have uploaded and send hard copy letters to them and there is nothing. Yet, they show what they sent to me. Do I need to send it certified mail?

I put in for borrowers defense separate of the big group case because it was a different school. It just says pending still after several years.

Then I asked them to reconsider time shown as in school because it was less than half time and I was working for a government agency. That paperwork isn't showing.

Anyone else having issues with disappearing documents?

DTSC had a "member of the public" causing a "disturbance" on the property this morning.

Even facilities outside of downtown are at risk of incidents.

"Subject: Cal Center - Employee Notice

This morning at approximately 10 AM a member of the public came on property that was disruptive and possibly in need of medical attention. Our DTSC Security detail managed the individual while Regional Admin Staff could contact the appropriate law enforcement to address the situation. We have confirmed that the individual has left our DTSC leased spaces including the parking area and the breezeway between the two buildings.

Please remember to report any suspicious activity immediately to our Regional Admin Team."

5 steps to get an ergonomic evaluation

My department literally has 5 steps to get an ergonomic evaluation and none of the material they make you read discusses chairs.

The chair they assigned me has absolutely no redeeming values if you have a bad back. I am going home with aches I don't get working from home. I invested in an awesome chair for at home.

I have a feeling this is going to be a huge fight.

Building not ADA compliant

When I got hired to my current department, it was during telework. Going to the office this week, I have been struggling with doors. Due to spine issues I was born with and a major accident, I am unable to carry my stuff, so I use a rolling backpack. The doors are extremely big and heavy. Not just the entrance, but the one to the suite. Trying to get through the heavy doors with my bag is a challenge. Twice now, the security guard has gotten up to help me.

My previous department had automatic door buttons, even on the bathroom doors. How do I get these installed? Who do I go to? I can't imagine anyone with a walker, wheel chair, or crutches managing these doors. The building is rented, so I don't even know if it will happen.

Are there any law suits regarding Paye and older loans?

My loan is from before 2014. I switched from Paye to Save. Now they say I can't go back on Paye until 2028 because of the age of my loan.

Has anyone filed suit against the Dept of Ed over this? Is there a lawyer interested in this situation?

We should be switched back to what we were on.

Are you taking the entire day for July 1 rally?

If you are attending the SEIU July 1 rally, are you taking the entire day off?

Logistically, I'd have to leave work at 9:30 and would not get back before 2:30 because I don't work downtown. Need to put in notice today.

Parking survey

Did you get a link to a parking/transportation survey? I can't believe they are just now asking about our commutes and parking this late in the game.

It asked how I will be going to work and what my second option would be. So I put driving and for my second option, I chose other and wrote telework. 🤣

Recording meetings for notes

I am supposed to write a report after our staff meetings. The problem is that they don't want to record it on TEAMs. I have tried several different free recording apps. They pick up all the background noise, including my keyboard. One that I tried put it into word format, but it did not do well with accents at all.

I have some hearing loss (years of rock concerts caught up), but not enough for a perscribed hearing aid. Without the hassle of a reasonable accommodation (RA) , are there any suggestions? Any good recording apps on the market. Am I stuck dealing with a RA?

Maybe this is an angle that the unions should bring up in telework negotiations.

I have a Samsung Galaxy s22 (android). Today, it started to log me off if I close the app and then requires an email to log back in. I did not change settings.
