I think most women would feel bad to carry the child that’s outcome of a sexual assault. Won’t they?
The Delhi High Court, while overturning a 2014 trial court acquittal in a sexual harassment case (IPC 354A/POCSO 10), sharply rejected the defense's argument that a woman wearing jeans "corrupts" young boys.
Justice Chandrasekharan Sudha observed:
On Restricting Women vs. Educating Boys:“The suggestion that a woman wearing jeans may ‘corrupt young boys’ reflects a deeply troubling and unacceptable mindset. The answer does not lie in controlling the clothes of girls and women. Parents and society must instead teach their children to control their conduct, respect personal boundaries and treat every human with dignity, whether at home or outside.”
Now considering it was for a posco case, meaning victim was a child, I wonder how could defense lawyers even make such argument.
How can parents start making such shift ( also when many of the parents- fathers of the boys have same mindset).

Context: a studio photographer clicked pic of a customer. asked her father to go out and check the pic preview on computer screen. the accused bolted the studio door from the inside, undressed himself, and attempted to remove the woman’s lower attire for sexual assault but due to her frantic screams the father rushed forced the door open while others also came and accused fled the scene.
Now per court, it’s not attempted rape. But just outraging the modesty. And I am baffled if not this, what does attempted rape mean? Do the judges believe that this man was just wanting to outrage the modesty but undressing her, flashing himself and wasn’t going to rape If wasn’t forced to flee? Was he going to just tell the woman okay now I have insulted you, please wear your clothes and go?
