Nurse Cheddar

I got in a very bad car accident 1 week ago - had a grand mal seizure while driving and ran straight into a brick building at a high rate of speed (thankfully no one else was hit!). Miss Cheddar Bay Biscuit has been giving me all of her healing purrs while I'm laid up. 🧡

I have adopted my first orange

Her name is Cheddar Bay Biscuit and she is 4 months old. (And I have ointment for that eye.) 🧡

The Giant Trevally is going to be the ☠️ of me

It's the last fish I need and I've gone through 200 bait so far trying to catch it (both on my pier and on several NMT islands). Curse you, fish. Curse you and the 100+ Sea Bass I've caught in your place! 😭

My kid got sick today and it was very stressful (he's got a chronic illness that gets worse when he catches a virus). I dealt with more vomit than I have in the last year. Basically, I was stressed as hell and was trying to calm down. I actually picked up a pipe, said "NO" out loud, and then went outside to literally touch grass. Within 5 minutes I was calmed down... but then my damn cat brought me a live garter snake he found in the backyard and dropped it on the ground next to where I was sitting. My mind instantly forgot that I wanted to smoke. 😂 Thanks, cat.

The wonderful people at r/Perimenopause suggested I join this sub. Yesterday I was finally able to admit that I have an addiction and need to step away from THC vapes. I also spoke with my husband about it last night and asked for his help. Due to the length of time that I was using them, it was suggested that I gradually stop my use. Today was the first day that I didn't wake and bake. I have a small headache and suddenly have heartburn - but that could just be my general existence. 🤷‍♀️ I don't trust myself at times, so I've asked my husband to keep it from me unless I request it (evenings only) until I run out - then I plan to stop entirely. I have a horrible time asking for help, so I need access to people who understand. I'm really glad that this sub exists.

I'm posting on here, because I've seen others lament their overuse of THC during peri. I had been a frequent user for a while, but it was manageable and I found that I could easily take breaks from it. Before I started on estrogen/progesterone, I was using THC more frequently to keep my emotions under control. That increase in frequency has basically made me addicted to it and I partake nearly all day, every day. I put the word in quotes, because I know I won't face physical withdrawals when I stop. But, it's definitely a mental addiction and I've got an addictive personality. Fortunately, it's pretty much my only vice. I've been on estrogen/progesterone for a few months now and I'm finally to the point where I realize I really need to quit. Has anyone on here been able to successfully quit or have any suggestions on a good subreddit to join? Finally losing the brain fog gave me a lot of mental clarity, but my dumb ass is just fogging it up another way. 🥴

*I marked this NSFW, since I'm discussing marijuana and it's not legal everywhere yet (it is where I live).

ETA: You guys are freaking AWESOME. Thank you all so much. ❤️ And I wanted to update this to say that I understand that it is a true addiction. I'm sorry for anyone I may have offended with that statement.
