Kings Field 4; what if I had removed the green guidestone?

I've been aimlessly wandering around in KF4 for weeks off and on, keep finding places around corners that lead to whole new areas etc, but finally realized I had all four keys now and I could go (spoiled myself earlier...) get the eye stones etc from way up on the tower. Luckily, I had put a Blue guidestone there and went straight to them. Getting to the Kings Throne area was pretty easy from there.

But then I could not find a way down farther, even deeply scouring maps I have, even the Prima guide. And remembered that at some point some guide said to use the Green guidestone and you'll get to a new area, and apparently I luckily did not remove the guidestone as it lead to an area near South Cliffs etc, which you can then keep working down farther. My red guidestone is somewhere up top as well, probably should have grabbed that before I started working my way down. I do have a Yellow guidestone I've never used that if I find another one near the bottom area, I will use it.

Anywho, this all said......... What if I had removed the Green guidestone near South Cliffs and didn't have one below it? Would I have been softlocked? Or maybe I have just overlooked some path down?

Lord I can not imagine doing this without good maps and a guide. I'd be completely lost. I'm still usually lost, but eventually find my way around.

Audio Sharing might be reason for Bluetooth LE desyncs/dropouts

I've been messing around with my PBP2 the last few days with and without Bluetooth LE and every time I pair I noticed within a few minutes I'm hearing desyncs, drop-outs, distortion etc. I'm pretty sure at this point that turning off Audio sharing stops it. I've tried it on and off a few times for extended periods, and I hear it every time Audio Sharing is on, and I've yet to hear an issue with it off.

For those using Bluetooth LE on your phone, can you give this a try too? Try both on and off for at least 30 minutes or so and see if you hear more problems with sharing on vs off. Your earbuds have to be paired using Bluetooth LE and active (out of case, perhaps also in your ears) for the Audio Sharing option to show up. It will be the first item in the Pixel Buds 'app'.

I'm using a Pixel 10 (latest updates) with Pixel Buds Pro 2 on the latest 5.203 firmware, if you don't mind let us know what you're using as well.

WTAF.. Liggins has officially JK JK'ed his resignation

He's sent a legalese letter saying he rescinds his resignation intent and has instructed the board to just cancel the meeting they scheduled.

Lord almighty.

Anyone know how to speed up syncing an old Polar M400 to Android?

When I first got the M400 (about 5 years ago, used) it seemed like it synced reasonably fast, but now it quite literally takes 20-30 minutes to sync every single time. I have a Pixel 10 phone.

I even did a full reset on the watch a while back to see if somehow that helped it, but it did not.

I have seven profiles set up/enabled, in General settings I have "keep data in memory for" set to 1 year. I have barely used the watch for the last year, probably more, so there's actually very little data within a 1 year window to sync at all.

FYI, I mostly use the watch as a display and data storage for my Polar H10 so I can see how hard I'm riding, and make sure I'm not pushing too hard. I ride with my phone, but it's in my water pack and I don't ride (light mountain biking) with the phone on the handlebars or such so I can't just use a phone app for it.

Anyone know a workaround or fix or.. I'd prefer not to lose any actual data, but I'm okay losing local data as long as it stays in the Polar Flow website, which it is all synced to currently.

Appreciate any advice, I realize this is an ancient watch at this point, but it was reasonably fast to sync when I first got it.

Played KF2 (US) many times; just can't get into KF4.

I played Kings Field 2 (US) two or three times in period, and since then probably another two or three times. It starts off slow and tedious with plenty of grinding, but the difficult is pretty linear and it's honestly not too confusing on what to do. The difficulty ramps up reasonably, with a few exceptions (like the Dragons that absolute devastate you in the Royal Cemetery) and overall, I enjoyed playing it each time.

I finally decided to play KF4 (The Ancient City) a week ago or so, and I am really not enjoying it that much. It's a lot more confusing, a lot of places that circle back on themselves, some of the difficulty ramps up quickly in places, and the movement is so horridly slow with the weight system. I just got to the central tower and have been trying to kill the xenomorph things without completely using every bit of my health, mushrooms, etc and it's just.... not that much fun.

I have unfortunately spoiled myself on a few things, like the teleportation system.. I was hoping to see something similar to the Icarus parts like in KF2 only to find it's much more limited and requires you make intelligence choices about where to place stones etc. I watched a bit of a "magic only run" and saw a bit ahead of where I am and none of it looks to be getting any better.... More confusing, enemies continue to be increasingly stronger yet all the grinding I've done doesn't seem to have gotten me to a point where fights aren't still difficult. I am level 16, 4290 EXP. I have kind of cheated a bit in terms of as I clear areas, I look at a walkthrough and go back to grab stuff I realize I've missed; but am for the most part not spoiling what's coming up or using any walkthrough to get through an area. With one exception I suppose; one that's insane to me..

The Bangle of Clarity; something almost no player would ever get because it's pretty difficult to get at the stage in which you'd meet the monster that has it. Most people would move on from that part of the game and likely never return there as there's no reason to. Yet it's almost a required item; magic would be almost useless without it. It's super strange to me that they give you such an insanely powerful item so early in the game, but yet make it difficult to get at the time and easy to miss. Seems this would be something found later in the game in a secret area or such when you're really needing to ramp up magic power.

I've put it down for a few days, I'll pick it back up, but.... Anyone else who has played both games find KF4 harder to enjoy than KF2? I have a feeling Souls users may enjoy KF4 more than I am, maybe KF2 was too linear or easy, not sure.
