Top intake + exhaust fans setup underneath desk?

Hi guys, I want to setup my Fractal Design North top fans with 2 Noctua 120mm (Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP) fans for 1 Intake / 1 Exhaust fan setup.

Top front fan will be Intake and Top rear fan will be exhaust.

However, my PC will be underneath my desk (23cm difference) and near the left edge of the desk (15-20cm away).

May I ask if this will work please? I know if top front fan is exhaust it will steal air from the intake front fans, but I am not sure if it is better than the top front fan reusing all the hot air from the top rear exhaust fan.

I am trying to mimic Noctua's setup here (https://www.noctua.at/en/expertise/blog/best-fan-setup-fractal-design-north) but I know they test this in an open air environment

My setup will be for 9850X3D + 7900XTX for 4K Gaming, currently I have|
- 2 front 140mm intake fans (Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP)
- CPU cooler with 2 x 120mm fans (Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Digital)
- 1 rear 120mm exhaust fan (Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM)

Thank you!

Does top intake + exhaust fans setup works underneath desk?

Hi guys, I want to setup my Fractal Design North top fans with 2 Noctua 120mm (Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP) fans for 1 Intake / 1 Exhaust fan setup.

Top front fan will be Intake and Top rear fan will be exhaust.

However, my PC will be underneath my desk (23cm difference).

May I ask if this will work please or do I have to change this setup back to 2 top exhaust fans?

I know if top front fan is exhaust it will steal air from the intake front fans, but I am not sure if it is better than the top front fan intaking hot air from the top rear exhaust fan.

Thank you!

Top Intake + Exhaust Fans Setup for Sx2-PP Fans?

Hi guys, I want to setup my Fractal Design North top fans with Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP for 1 Intake / 1 Exhaust fan setup
My plan is to use the PPA fan in top front as intake + Noctua inlet spacer, and the PPB fan in top rear as exhaust fan
Also, do I have to connect each fan to their own mobo header or can I use the included Y splitter for both of them? So the intake and exhaust fans can be controlled individually?
May I ask if this will work please or do I have to change this setup?
Thank you!

Need help with fan curve suggestions for AM5 ATX please?

Hi guys, I upgraded to AM5 ATX from AM4 ITX so I need some fan curve suggestions please?

My new build is below:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D

CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Digital (2 x 120mm fans)

Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B850-A

Memory: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB

Video Card: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7900 XTX

Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x (2024) 1000 W

Case: Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower Case (Mesh Side Panel)

Front Fans: 2 x 140mm Aspect 14 PWM (Intake Fans)

Rear Fan: 1 x 120mm Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM (Exhaust Fan)

Top Fans: 2 x 120mm Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP (Top Front is Intake and Top Rear is Exhaust)

So I have 5 fans total (3 intake and 2 exhaust) so I am looking on best way to tune both these fans in BIOS and my GPU fan on AMD Adrenaline as well

My usage will be for gaming mainly (Diablo IV, triple A games) and also media consumption

Thank you very much!

Uhh, I think I just used up all my luck this year, $340 CAD (~$250 USD) for a brand new 2TB 990 Pro with Heatsink

Local FB Marketplace find. I saw the listing and thought I was gonna be scammed or find a rock in the box. Seller was asking $340 CAD for 2TB when everywhere in Canada is selling it for $900 without tax so it kinda seemed too good to be true xD

So he said it was a listing error by one of the employees (they are a hard drive supplier for local businesses), but they honored the price. So I got home, plugged it in, immediately ran Samsung Magician and saw that beautiful Samsung Authenticated!

Welp, I guess it is a lucky day for me but not for that employee LOL

I submitted all of my files by myself without help (it was honestly very exhausted) with maybe a dozen LOEs since my work experience was a bit complicated. I want to thanks everyone here for all your help during these times and remember guys, please don't lose hope!!!

All the best to the rest of you!!
