[01/07/2026] Angel Comedy Club and other comedy events

[Update] Rescheduling for next week, bc unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it out tonight! I'll try and update when here, but feel free to DM me for group chat link!

Hi! I'm 30F from NYC working remotely in London for the next couple of weeks, and I was planning on going to the Angel Comedy Club tomorrow night after signing off work. I figured I'd ask to see if there were other people interested in going together! And also open to suggestions on other comedy/improv shows if anyone has any. I've been a big fan of Taskmaster over the years and feel like I've learned about a lot of British comedians through that show? Plus a fan of Shoot From The Hip, but they aren't doing a show while I'm here :(

Also if anyone has any plans to just explore different areas of London, I'd love to maybe join in depending on my work schedule! I've been to London a few times now, so I'm less inclined to go to museums and such, but I'm always down for a lil walking around.

5-11km runs near Canning Town?

Hi! I’m visiting London for two weeks, staying near Canning Town ish near the river. I’m starting marathon training, and I was wondering if there were areas ppl recommend to run approx 5-11km (large range bc different runs).

Where to buy thin chain silver rings

I’ve been looking for places that sell chain rings, the kind that are super thin like the chains that they use for forever welded bracelets. Except I feel like they’re always gold, so does anyone know where I can get silver ones?

Thanks!

Is the concept of East Asian Americans not commonly known around here?

I feel like this is such a dumb question bc the answer feels like obviously no, Vietnamese ppl know that the United States (or any large melting pot nation) has ppl of a lot of different ethnicities.

But whenever locals ask me where I’m from and then I say America, they look kind of confused? And say to me, “but you look Asian/Vietnamese/Korean” (getting Korean a lot bc I’m in Da Nang) and then I explain that my parents were born in Korea but I was born in America and live there. They’re like oh okay, but still seem confused.

Okay as I typed that out, I just realized that the question “where are you from”/“where do you live” is probably the same to most ppl as “what ethnicity are you” (aka the “where are you FROM from?” question), but I’m gonna still post this question anyways.
