Wheat Off

Ben Holiday Rick House 6 year is my favorite of the Bunch. It's the Highest Proof 121.4, It has a ton flavor, it's not that hard to get. I need to Track down the 8 year. I paid $75 for this

Savage and Cooke Bloody Butcher BIB had the most Flavor out of the Bunch. My biggest knock against it, is availability and the price. I had to have this shipped and I paid $95 for it.

Green River Wheated Full Proof is priced corectly. It's $48, it's 109.3 Proof and it has pretty good flavor. It's a step up over the regular green Rivier Wheated and it's not as hot as the Cask Strength version that I had.

Weller Antique 107 is the Oldie but Goldie. Unfortunately I paid $100 for this. I think if I could buy this at MSRP it would be above the Green Rivier. I will say this is a neck poor. Antique 107 could be having an unfair fight.

Southern Star Paaragon BIB is pretty good but it has a pretty Earthy taste. It's $59.99. The Cask Strength version is worth the $10 price increase. If I had a Cask Strength version I would rank it highier than the Antique 107.

Heaven Hill Grain to Glass is the most Transparent out of the bunch and I am sad to rank it this low. It doesn't taste as good as it's competition, even though it has a proof point of 106.6. The price tag is also $100.

Sweat Wheat didn't have a fair fight. It has the lowest proof out of the bunch at 91.2. It's not bad, at $50 it's a pretty good buy. I still think this is better than Weller Reserve and Penelope Wheated.

Has anyone seen the Nikka Miyagikyo 10 year in the U.S

I was wondering if it's going to be another month before it makes it to the US.

12 Year Macallan V.S 13 Year Allegedly Macallan

The bottle to the left is Signatory Vintage Secret Speyside (M), aged 13 years. It is Unchilled Filtered, it has been finished in a Oloroso Sherry butt and it's at 100 proof. Unfortunately its not 100 imperial proof which is 57.1% Alcohol per volume. This was $63.

The Bottle on the right is an offical bottling that has been aged 12 years. It's apart of the Macallan Double Cask collection and it's at 86 proof. I paid $80.

Both are pretty good and taste similar but the Signatory Vintage bottling is better because it's at a highier strength. You get a slight nip at the end with the official bottling. It's not there with the Independent bottling. I also had a 16 Year Secret Speyside (M), that was at 100 imperial proof. I blended the 16 year into both and it Improved both of them.

The 16 year is an import that I got for $115. I want to support Signatory Vintage in the U.S but I feel like you're better off importing the good stuff.

2000 Nissan Xterra V6 4X4

It's a manual with 80,000 miles and very little rust. Well at least very little rust for Michigan

Sugestions on importing a 26 year old, U.S made car into the U.S?

Its a Nissan Xterra that was made in the U.S over 25 years ago. Is there any downside to just using the 25 year import rule or should I try to import it based on the fact that it was made in the U.S. I'm driving it from Canada.

Old Charter Oak

Its Buffalo Trace Juice. I pefer it over Blanton's because it's dryer, it's not as sweet and it is at a slightly highier Alcohol percentage by 1 percent. It might need a drop of water, I think it's fine neat. I would love a cask strength version of this. For 80 bucks it's pretty good.

13 Year Old Mortlach bottled by Signatory Vintage. It's apart of the Unchilled Filtered collection and it's pretty cloudy. It taste pretty good. It has hints of honey and citrus. I need to find an official bottling to compare the two.
