Howdy folks!

A lot of people asked and I wanted to show that, yes, Eve Online is playable offline thanks to the awesome dudes at the Evejs Discord. I managed to set up a server that works with Steam Deck and I'm happy to share it with yall!

Please note that the file size is big. Something like 40+ gigs, but the game is really fun so far. Very laid back so far. I'm a complete noob so I don't really know what I'm doing. I read that I can do industrialist missions to get a mining ship so I'm going to do that. Get set up with a mining rig and make the big bucks before I buy a battleship.

My mind wanders with possibilities for the game. I gave myself all skills so I already know how to fly any ship, just need to buy them. I refuse to cheat in this game, I learned that it takes 20-30 minutes to travel to one destination and I kinda love that.

This is the ultimate dream come true for me and I wanted to share my progress. Turtle WoW 1.18.1 running offline with 1000 bots on the server. Right now my starting zone is flooded because everyone is level 1, which is annoying but also accurate considering its the servers start.

I can't post links, Reddit mods don't like me very much. This probably won't be up for long. But if you want this today, it's available on the Dads Mmo Lab Discord.

Up Next I want to show off my Eve Online... Eve Offline server with 5000 bots and a full economy. But that's for another day.

Howdy folks! I started this project on Steam Deck because I wanted offline WoW on the go. People loved it so I made installers that builds the private server of their choosing on the Steam Deck with as close to a 1 click install as possible.

After that, lots of people asked to be able to have this type of installer on windows, easing the process of compiling their own server on windows without having to use repacks. This windows app allows you to use the same steam deck installers on your pc to get the servers up and running for offline or Lan play.

WoW Unbound is a custom single-player World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King experience built on AzerothCore, where the traditional class system is torn open and rebuilt from the ground up. Starting at level five, players choose a second class — unlocking their abilities and spells along with automatic access to all weapon types, armor types, and dual wielding — and at level twenty-five, a third class joins the mix, earned through gold and progression rather than handed freely. Every weapon type, every armor, every class becomes accessible, letting players forge combinations the original game never imagined: the plate-wearing Hunter who heals, the Rogue who calls down holy fire, the Warrior who casts frost magic. It runs offline, on your own machine, with no subscription and no servers to log into

THIS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR FREE ON JULY 4th, my original goal was this Sunday but I think it would be wise to push it back to have the installer and everything more stable. Also, please know that this is an alpha and is quite janky. Some classes have bugs (for example, victory rush with warrior as the second class does not work yet), but the vast majority is working now.

Right now I have early access open for YouTube members. But like I said, it'll be free on the 4th and I really want to keep the access low because I'm personally doing troubleshooting to make sure each person has it running. Been at it for a few days and now it looks like my current pool is looking good and playing.

I'm hoping to having this playable in the next day or so.

WoW Unbound is a Dads Mmo Lab Exclusive and will have an alpha that allows you pick your second class at level 5, 3rd class at level 25, and more classes at expensive fees the more you level.

In the future I may lock the Unbound to 3 classes Max, but for sake of feedback (and bug testing) all classes will be obtainable in the early test phases.

This is being built with Singleplayer in mind, as the installer will install the server with playerbots included. Because it being built on Azerothcore other modules can be added at will. Multiplayer is entirely possible and we plan to have community nights on the discord.

Our ultimate goal is to have you join our multiplayer servers with the character from your private "home" server. Allowing you to carry your progress as you jump between servers and offline.

I loved Ascension WoW and the classless system but I always wanted a system with more structure. WoW Unbound will be a Multi-Class Mod.

In Unbound, you begin by selecting your starting class as normal. Once you reach Level 5, you'll unlock the ability to choose a second class, creating powerful and unique combinations that simply aren't possible in in regular WoW. It's important to know that your first base class is the only class that can be powered up through talents, making the first class you choose a very important decision.

The more you level, the more classes you are able to unlock. However, each class gets more and more expensive, not to mention you still need to buy all of your spells and abilities. Unbound characters immediately get access to all weapon and armor types as well as dual wielding.

The alpha will be releasing soon. I need to clean up some stuff and add a bit of polish. The Unbound Era will continue to expand further and further, the multi-class system is the foundation on which the rest will be built.

I wanted WoW offline on my Steam Deck, I got it. Started making Installers and it got out of hand. So after a solid month, I have the trilogy of Vanilla, TBC and Wrath servers with bots and AHbot and all of that on my Steam Deck, and lots of people also it too. Made a Discord, we got some devs and heavy hitters making all kinds of tools and mods themselves, it's getting kinda crazy.

I'm currently working on a Native Windows installer, making the build and compile process super easy like it is on the Steam Deck, and after that, I think a server browser/mesh network type of situation where you can take your character and account from your home server and inject it into someone else's server to play your character with those dudes.

Maybe that's lofty thinking. I dunno. Either way, mission accomplished.

I just put out my second big installer and this one was my ultimate dream. I started playing WoW at release, even got into the beta and logged in once, I remember that being a big deal to me lol. Didn't know what I was doing.

Vanilla WoW has always been my favorite. When I started playing private servers I always gravitated to Vanilla servers. This server here is my absolute dream. This is Cmangos and has playerbots and the Auction House built in. Defaults to 1000 bots, I upped it to 1200 and the Steam Deck runs fine.

This is it for me, this is the game I'll personally be playing for a very long time, and I'm happy to give this installer to anyone who wishes to have it.

WoW Master Suite Install Guide Video

(Trying to respond to everyone as best as I can. I never encountered so many comments lol)

Finally completed that Installer and OMG, what a hassle that was lol. I have an install video that walks you through the process, but the goal was to make it as quick and EASY as possible. No experience needed, I hold your hand the entire time. But yea, it's finally finished! You get 3 options to choose from:

1. Base WoW with Solocraft: For those that want to go through the world by themselves and want to do dungeons and raids all alone.

2. NPCBots, Comes packaged with NPCbots which are hireable and will fight with you in the open world, dungeons, and raids. Apparently they can also wander the world with 1 command but I didn't get to play with it yet. Kinda want to play with this but honestly I'm playing on the next one. I will note that the scripting for the bots here are said to be really good, especially for pvp. I believe these were the bots that stomped me when I ran servers on my PC back in the day.

3. Playerbots, this is the one I think will he popular and is shown in the video. A bunch of bots populate the world and you log in to seeing a bunch of bots roaming the world killing and doing whatever. Like a bot? Invite it to your party and they'll help you quest. They will also help in dungeons and raids!

I can't post links but Dads MMO Lab is how you find me. I worked on this for a long time and wanted to get this working on steam deck for well over a year, and now that the door is open... man... so many possibilities.

🔧 FIX: Port 8080 phpMyAdmin Conflict If your install failed with an error mentioning "0.0.0.0:8080" or "phpmyadmin" — this is fixed in the latest install.sh on GitHub.

The official AzerothCore server ships with a database manager (phpMyAdmin) that tries to use port 8080 — which many Steam Decks already have in use. The new installer automatically excludes it since you don't need it to play WoW.

➡️ Re-download install.sh from GitHub and run the installer fresh. If you already have a partial install, run uninstall.sh first to clean up, then reinstall.

Already stuck mid-install? Run this in Konsole: cd ~/wow-server && docker compose up -d --scale phpmyadmin=0

That starts the server without phpMyAdmin entirely. WoW runs perfectly without it. 🎮

After long nights of research, failing, researching more, and failing again... I got it.

Here's what it looks like in practice:

🟢 Open the server app from gaming mode 🟢 It tells you when it's ready (~30 seconds) 🟢 Go back to home, launch WoW 🟢 Play your session 🟢 Close WoW, go back to server, press Enter 🟢 Server shuts down safely in seconds

Start to playing: under 1 minute. Exit: about 20 seconds.

500 bots configured. Working Auction House. Individual progression — my character levels through Vanilla, unlocks TBC, then WotLK. Running at 60fps on high settings. The Steam Deck handles it without breaking a sweat.
