WANTED: New Moderators and New Rules
There are currently 2 active moderators (spacemonkey and I) in this subreddit, and I have to admit that it is too difficult to maintain the subreddit with just the two of us. Hence we open the table for new applicants.
Qualifications:
- Must be an active Redditor prior to January 1, 2025. (Anyone whose cake day is from that date onward are automatically disqualified.)
- Must have a visible Reddit profile. No hidden posts, no hidden comments, and it must remain visible throughout your tenure as moderator.
- Has a Telegram account.
- A Letterboxd account is not required but a plus.
- Moderation experience is a plus.
- Being part of the film industry (past or present) is also a plus.
In case you're interested, please reply in this post with a description of what makes you qualified, for reasons of transparency. Please wait to be contacted for an interview. Private messages or modmail will not be entertained.
If all goes well, 3-5 new moderators would be hired. But realistically, given previous calls of this kind from last year, I'd be over the moon if we get even a single applicant.
Also, I have also read the comments on the Odyssey thread. I hear you. But we also need help. Please feel free to propose new rules to improve this subreddit by posting your proposals here.
