This is the side of the stadium that gets blinded by the sun

Just a heads up after the Brussels concert, this is the side of the stadium (London) that gets blinded & scorched by the setting sun at THFC. It’s usually the away fans at football matches suffering in the corner 😭😭

Anyone had any luck finding tests/cancellations at Letchworth?

At this point, I’m beginning to think Letchworth is a myth and doesn’t actually exist. It’s a smaller, rural test centre with less examiners compared to the next nearest which is Cambridge, but my driving instructor only goes from Letchworth.

I’ve gone on at 6am, checked throughout the day for cancellations, asked my parents to check throughout the day too when I’m at work (in retail so I can’t keep the DVSA website open just staring at my phone) and only saw a cancellation come up once, only for someone to get there 0.2 seconds before me and it to say “Sorry this is no longer available”.

Like, what am I supposed to do?

Guys this is scaring me a bit…

Logged back into my Ticketmaster app as it had automatically logged me out & it keeps coming up with this notification on my ticket (I got my ticket all the way back in Jan in the army pre-sale). Anyone else getting the same thing?

u/kmpeanuts — 14 days ago

Wish I got these queue numbers in pre-sale 😭

Initially joined out of curiosity as I already have a ticket to see how many people would queue for London & what tickets they’d release for production, ended up getting decent queue numbers. A load were available in various places including in the 100s and 400s sections. I tried getting one of the 100s section tickets and then would sell my 500 section ticket at face value to another ARMY, however my wifi went off mid way and kicked me out so I got kicked back to 100k in the queue.

Will probably get flamed for this…

Will probably get flamed for “devaluing a collectible” or something but I know I’m going to be keeping this for myself and giving it to my grandchildren or whatever so instead of having some random ad page I thought it’d be more meaningful and fun to paint over the page and use it as a World Cup chart for all the games. (I know the team pages have them, but only up until the group stages)

Also, 4-2…COME ON ENGLAND!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

LONDON ARMY travel update🚨

Just as I predicted in my “Guide to THFC Stadium” post, Greater Anglia have added direct trains from Northumberland Park to Cambridge and London Liverpool Street & Stansted Airport both before and after the concert. Key info as this adds another option to get home, especially if you live on the Cambridge-London Liverpool Street line!

Is it just me or…

Is it just me or are Harry Kane stickers harder to come by than Ronaldo and Messi? I got Ronaldo, Messi & Mbappe in my first few packs and have still yet to come by Harry Kane 😭 maybe it’s because I’m trying to complete the England page and he’s the captain

Tips on what to apply for? Feel like I’m not good enough at what I’m experienced in…

Hello everyone.

I have experience in mainly video editing and post-production. Graduated in 2024 with a degree in Film and Media (I don't need people harping on me about it being useless, no point in that). Always wanted to work in sports media as loved football since I was young and I still feel like there's not a lot of women in that field.

Got a junior level job at talkSPORT in Jan 2025 (one of the biggest sports radio stations in the UK) editing for their social media, which was great. However, due to massive cuts in the company, got laid off in May 2025 so only managed to work there for 5 months.

That wasn't my first job, but it was the first one truly related to the career path I want to be on. Before that I'd worked about a year at an agency job that specialised in an AI system that finds product placement opportunities in TV shows/movies, I was a Junior Data Analyst there correcting the AI and making sure it found good placement opportunities due to my film background. Before that I worked for 2 years in retail and then for about a year as the sports reporter in my school newspaper.

During my time at talkSPORT I also volunteered for a football campaign, did some freelance editing for some people I knew and also kept posting on my editing socials & website. I'd been consistently editing since making my first football editing account back in 2017, that's how I'd learnt to edit on Adobe Suite. My edits did good numbers.

I now work part-time in retail to earn myself money and to just get myself out the house. I also do the post-production side of my friend's weekly football podcast for free, too.

I am consistently applying for jobs, but obviously there's a shortage of 'Junior Video Editor' or just 'Video Editor' jobs. I'm not picky, I'll apply for any kind of company as long as it is legitimate, sports or not. I apply for Social Media & Content Creator jobs, too, as I have that experience with talkSPORT, running my own accounts and working on my friend's podcast. Just that most of these Social Media ones require 3 years of experience in that specific area at a company or agency of some description.

I applied to a Communications role at a nearby University a while back as the job description matched what I had done in roles before. They invited me for an interview, and then started asking me questions about really specific Marketing associated tasks (which I obviously have no experience of, and they would've seen that on my CV?) and nothing about what was on the job description. It was honestly embarrassing as most of the questions I was at a loss for words, so now I'm apprehensive to apply to any roles that are to do with Communications.

Applied to a Junior Video Editor role recently and they quickly got back to me, passing me through to the 3rd stage with the task. I took hours preparing a presentation, even adding extra edits in here and there to demonstrate what I was talking about. They messaged saying they were delayed by a week. Well, now it's been well over a month and I've heard nothing, even after emailing them. I think it was just one person looking through all the tasks but I feel like they should've at least responded to my email out of courtesy.

Any suggestions for niches or other jobs that I could branch out to that my skills could apply to?

Testi won’t let me login?

Tried using wifi, mobile data, turning off VPN. Literally won’t let me login.

u/kmpeanuts — 1 month ago

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Got up at 5:30 this morning to make sure I had everything prepared, which didn’t matter because DVSA website blocked me twice 2 minutes before it opened even though I had cleared my cache, turned my VPN off, etc. Having to get up at the crack of drawn just to be in the back of a queue that moves slower than the 100k+ Ticketmaster one I was in for the sold out BTS concert just to book a driving test is absolutely ludicrous.

I have a health condition affected by my sleep, too, so having to do this every Monday before work when I could be getting some extra sleep is NOT helpful.

EDIT: Got in and there was only availability in some random week in December at a test centre I didn’t want. Booked one up anyway and planning to check for cancellations to move it to the test centre I actually want. (Both the test centres are local to me but the one I’m actually booked in at the moment is awful and no one likes it because it’s basically all about avoiding potholes and sitting in queues of grid-locked traffic rather than actually driving.)

2006 Grammys AOTY

I know Gorillaz got 4 nominations for Demon Days, 3 for Feel Good Inc, one of which they won for Best Pop Collab and one for Dirty Harry, but I really feel like this album should’ve at least got a nomination in the AOTY category.

Is this a glitch?

Why has 2nd Grade changed names to “So 4 more” in my playlist, but when I play it, it goes back to 2nd Grade? I was so confused because I was like I’m pretty sure BTS don’t have a song called So 4 more.

I passed! This means SO much…

I’m epileptic and have wanted to drive since I was 17, I’m 23 now and been seizure free almost 2 years now so my doctor cleared me to drive in December 2025. Took a few painful months for the DVLA to sort my provisional license out (because I had to do all the medical forms by post etc), but I just passed my theory today!

I’m not talking your typical BTS Cypher Pt.3 or Crazy Form by Ateez, what’s an unexpected gym anthem? Mine’s from Jin’s album Happy! Him singing “DONT BE SCARED” just motivates me to push more weight and hit them PRs!

Grammys don’t play fair, and feel like they’ll nominate BTS for something so that they’ll be there in person & have to perform since they bring in such HUGE viewing numbers. However, ARIRANG has been such a big album that I feel like just sidelining them to a category like Best Pop/Duo won’t work this time.
