I just bought a Huntsman for parts (corkscrew) I think we can agree that the knife is really used. It's hard to open and something must have lived in it. But I'll clean it anyway and give it some love. I think it's still got a lot of use. $22 price
Helooou Youutub. Yesterday's attempt didn't go very well, so today I tried a different method: X-shaped grooves made with a needle file (triangle shape). Now I'm satisfied and it looks better. The file works exclusively and is very aggressive (it can cut plastic material) I was supposed to do it with a file directly, but somehow I didn't think of it.
TL; Hi everyone, since the nail file for Vic Compact is often discussed here, I thought of doing something similar in the interest of science and this community and our nails. I started by drilling holes with an NC drill next to each other, it didn't go very well. Then I tried making grooves with a hacksaw, that didn't work either, finally I thought of using a belt sander. Be careful, the sander removes material very quickly. The result doesn't look good at all, but it was the first attempt, but it works and it grinds the nails. Then I thought that it could be done with a diamond file, one groove next to the other. It would be best to do it when disassembling the hook and write a program on a CNC milling machine, but I don't have time for that here at work, the machines are very busy. I believe that a few of you will also try to do it somehow, so post photos for inspiration. You are welcome. 😉 Edit : and when you screw it up like I did, it won't be visible!

I bought it at an auction. I was expecting a much higher price than $50. (the case was part of the auction) lightly used, I didn't even clean it, just blew it out with compressed air. Year of manufacture 2016
