Home workouts

What kind of routine are you guys doing outside of the gym? I have a heavy bag, jump rope, and a few weights/kettlebells at home and on days I don’t go to the gym to train I try to get some work in at home, I’m mostly curious on what kind of bag/cardio routines you guys use.

For reference on skill level(if it even matters), I’ve trained for a year and a half or so followed by a long break but have had one amateur fight before my break, so I am comfortable in bagwork without reinforcing poor technique etc.

Too late?

Is it too late for me to start mma? I’ll be 6 in December and I’m worried it’s too late for me to become UFC champion. My mom said she doesn’t want me training until I’m at least 7 1/2 😢

I REALLY like Dorohedoro

I haven’t watched any anime really since I was quite a bit younger but recently stumbled into Dorohedoro and am currently on season 2. This is probably one of the coolest shows I’ve watched in quite some time. The action/gore is great(by far my favorite aspect), it’s fun without feeling too “childish” and has a pretty good story overall. What’s some other anime’s I can check out that have similar vibe?

Some others that I’ve enjoyed quite a bit between my younger days and my adulthood include Berserk, a few of the different Gundam series, Ninja Scroll, the original Ruroni Kenshin, chainsaw man, I’ve seen some of Baki and enjoyed it from what I saw but haven’t watched them all. Thanks for any recommendations!

Test parameters

I recently took my test to get into the UA as a service technician but they only offered me a 1st year spot. I’m also a welder, would I be able to try and test in as a welder still or would they not want me to do that? If you go for the weld test, is it simply pass or fail or do they evaluate it and then place you somewhere based off how well you did?

Service technicians

I’m currently a journeyman in the sheet metal workers that is working as a service technician trying to switch to my local UA. Monday I’m going to speak with the business agent to setup a time to go and do the testing that will determine where I start in the local. I know there’s going to be a hands on troubleshooting portion, but what kind of stuff can I expect on the written testing? Refrigeration, controls, math? Typically multiple choice or written answer? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect so I can relax a little.

Unfortunately in this day and age of calculators with you everywhere and not having been in school in nearly 20 years, my math is probably rusty, so bonus points if you can tell me what type of math is on there.

Local 562

Does anyone know what hiring is looking like for Local 562? I had an interview with a contractor that wants to hire me, back at the end of April. The owner sent my resume to the hall so they could setup my interview/test but I have yet to hear anything. Is this common to take so long or did the hall most likely decide to pass on me for some reason?

New customers

So i currently work for an industrial company that has a small service department (basically just me) and the owners are expressing interest in growing the service side now. My question is how do you guys go about picking up new work? Do you just walk in places and ask to do their hvac/refrigeration work? Mail out flyers or something? lol. They and I both want to avoid any residential work. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated

Limited merch

What’s the deal with so many bands doing the whole limited drop approach to merch lately? It seems like everyone is constantly sold out and rarely restocks. Then if it isn’t a limited drop, they only put out tour leftovers which there’s normally very few of.

Is this something happening due to inflation and the cost of producing merch, some sort of gimmick that bands are doing, or resellers trying to corner the market of bands that are hot? It seems like bands could profit more by making their merch more readily available online instead of me having to pay $60 for a shirt second hand.

Testing

Hey guys, I’m waiting on a call for my interview/testing, I was hoping you guys could give me some insight on what I can study or brush up on while I wait. It’s going to be for the service end of things, if that changes anything

DS3 Blacksmith

I’m in my second playthrough and accidentally hit the blacksmith and now he won’t do anything for me. Can I fix this somehow or am I fucked? I’d really rather not start a new character if at all possible
