As move in days wrap up and we get to the rest of move in weekend, I hope that everyone had a great move in and all yall freshmen get settled in okay!! ✌️

Lemme preface this with; I’m paranoid. It was inserted around 12 pm today under anaesthetic. I still have some residual stinging from the insertion and am spotting but other than that I’m not in pain and can’t feel a thing. That’s normal, right? I can’t check it at all yet, so just making sure :)

I (18NB) just got home from my mirena insertion under anesthesia. We were able to work things out with the insurance and everything went just fine! I still feel some residual stinging down there and I’m spotting but other than that I don’t feel a thing(yet)! Anyone got any tips for the days to come?

my iud insertion got pushed back and now I won’t have sedation bc of the insurance company. TIPS PLEASE!!

I (18 NB) am planning to get an iud to help with my periods(I’ve been on sprintec 2 years) and the insertion for my mirena was originally scheduled for the 11th, and I was supposed to be sedated. But because the insurance company deemed heavy bleeding not enough of an issue to cover it all, as opposed to family planning which IS covered, basically all my progress was reset. So I have to have another consultation next month and I have no idea when my insertion will be now. This is like the only time of the year I’m not stupidly busy with college and I was planning to get a job next month before I have to go back. Oh, and I can’t get sedation anymore—I have to rawdog the whole thing. And I’m autistic and hate changes esp so last minute.

I did just want to complain but if anyone has any tips or suggestions I would love to hear it. Thank yall!

It’s in 6 days. I’m so nervous. I’m 18 and a dependent and my family can’t pay the left over $7K either so that’s how it’s looking right now. I’m so. Nervous. Does anyone have tips?

EDIT:
I’ve been forced to reschedule the consult and everything so now it’s over a month out and I’m still not receiving any pain management. I’m so upset.
