Looking for badminton or tennis players in Brampton! 🏸🎾

Hey everyone!

I’m looking to get more active and would love to find people to play badminton or tennis with!
I live in Downtown Brampton and don’t mind driving 15–20 minutes for a good place to play.

I’m usually free Fridays and Saturdays.

A little about my experience:

Badminton: I’d say I’m around an intermediate level and would love to play regularly.
Tennis: I’ve never played before, but I’ve always wanted to learn. If anyone is patient enough to teach a complete beginner or is also just starting out, I’d love to join!

I’m looking for:

Friendly people who enjoy playing for fun, fitness, and improving
Singles or doubles
Regular games if we click

I’d also appreciate recommendations for:

Good badminton or tennis courts near downtown Brampton
Drop-in sessions, clubs, or leagues
WhatsApp, Discord, Facebook, or Meetup groups where people organize games.

If you’re interested or know someone who is, feel free to comment or send me a DM. Looking forward to meeting new people and getting into these sports!

Thanks!😊

A mobile mechanic scammed me and threatening to file a claim on my insurance for non-payment. Any suggestions?

Recently my car’s brake fluid leaked and the brakes are not working at all so I had to call a mobile mechanic for diagnostics. I found this mechanic on marketplace and he told me there’s a leak in the rear brake line. I paid him 60 CAD for the diagnostic service and he gave me a quote of 380$ (part and labor) to repair. He also asked me to send 250$ for ordering the part beforehand which I did send.
The next day when he came to repair the car he mentioned that there’s another leak in the brake line and the part he ordered can’t be used now as the whole line has to be replaced which will cost me another 350$. I agreed to get the whole line replaced and then he messaged me to send another 50$ for showing up the second day whether the work’s done or not as it is his company’s policy. I agreed to give him 50$ for showing up but I asked him if I can get the refund for the part he ordered as it was never used. He told me the part is non-refundable (which he never mentioned before). {Correct me if I am wrong here I never dealt with mechanics much as my bf used to do}. I told him he never mentioned about the part being non-refundable when he asked for money to order it. His response was that usually people know and maybe he forgot to tell me ( how can you expect everyone to know?it’s still your responsibility to inform the customer). Anyways I asked if I can atleast get the part as I paid for it (I was thinking of selling the part on Facebook to recover some money lol) he said I need to pay him 50$ first for the second day he showed up only then he can give me the part. I told him I’ll transfer him the money right away once he hand me the part but now he’s telling me to send an email to his office as his company will file a claim for non-payment.
I am not refusing to pay him 50$ for showing up but how am I supposed to trust that he’ll deliver me the part once I send him the money?
Please give me suggestions on what to do next and correct me if I’m wrong as I’m not sure if this is how it works, that you give them the money to order parts and the parts are non-refundable whether it’s being used or not to fix your car.
