How can I get control/proximity somewhere like Denmark ?

I played a lot of Sweden and my main problem is that I can’t get any proximity besides maritime presence.

Naval governors are useless since for some reason they have a strait rule and I can’t build a local one because I can’t build a road on the straits.

The only way I found is to release the islands as a free nation and build it like that, but that may screw with my trade and if I annex/vassalize it gets insta-deleted.

I’m even wondering if it’s worth it to conquer it
the peninsula because it would just be wasteland until later on when I build the economy for a fleet.

FINALLY !!!

R5: After COUNTLESS attempts, I managed to form Persia as Ardabil

It required many restarts, somehow managing to get guaranteed by both QQ AND Ajam and a war with the ottomans because of a warning

Historically, how did this OPM manage to unite all of Persia and challenge the Ottoman Empire ? When I tried to look through the in-game timeline, they just exist there, still an OPM, and then fast forward 10 years they own all of Persia

R5: Finally tried Zoroastrian Persia and had a LOT of fun, it's become one of mt favourites

Bonus: I got naval supremacy and managed to traps 275k Turkish armies in the balkans

None of them made it out alive.

I’m playing Russia and I really hate fighting the ottomans. If I siege down the Balkans, they go into the Caucasus and vice versa, and I can’t split of my armies since the AI just stacks its entire army.

Initially, I declared a war to try to contain them and take the caucasus. Initially the war went ok, I was really killing turks, but out of nowehere they just remake their entire army with little manpower and have to settle for crimea and astrakhan. We both had the same discipline, I had slightly better morale.

My economy is pretty good I’d say. Finished religious and trade, making 32 per months without forts and army maintenance. I have 4 armies with 27k men in each ( since combat width is 27 ) 14 infantry, 4 horses and 9 artillery.

My only ally is Hungary because Austria won’t join since it’s too far away.

How does one defeat the turks ?
