i made a post a week ago of my first zen doodle. here’s some more i’ve done since then!
despite all the doodles on here being so perfect, i wanted to share my very messy doodle!
i’ve been trying to fill this notebook up without worrying about having a perfect aesthetic journal. i ended up scribbling all over a page and thought hm it’d cool to fill in some of the spaces. i enjoyed it so much i looked up some inspo and did the one on the right! i remember learning about zen doodling when i was in middle school. rediscovering it has me excited! i love that even though it’s a bit messy, as a whole it looks great to me. i think it can help me get over the perfectionism. i can’t wait to fill more pages with doodles :D
I’ve used Sally Hansen cuticle remover before but this picture is from just softening with water and pushing back with a cuticle pusher. Both got the same result. I don’t usually push my cuticles back because they look like this. Is this just the result of pushing back cuticles without cutting them or am I doing something wrong?
Hi! I have thick coarse 2a-2b hair. I’ve been trying to lean into my waves. I’ve always had trouble with definition and frizz. I realized I had wavy hair a few years ago but I never found a routine that worked for me. It’s a bit frustrating that even though I do like my poofy waves, I know it looks very messy and frizzy. So I can never just comfortably wear my hair natural. My hair just naturally dries very poofy and I don’t get defined waves. What can I do?
My routine:
- Cerave hydrating shampoo (like 3 rinses)
- Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus conditioner (squish to condish)
- NYM curl talk mousse (apply wet, plop for 1-2 hours, air dry)
- The Ordinary Argan Oil
Ive had my second lobes for about four months now and no problems. A few weeks ago I got my helix taken out and both my third lobes. Now my third lobes have been fine but my seconds are so irritated? I don’t know what’s happening to them.
I clean them as usual with saline spray and q tips. This last week i’ve alternated between spraying it and drying them a bit with a tissue and spraying it and using a q tip. Today I used a q tip and got crust off and it looks really raw in the photos. I feel freaked out because it looks weirdly fleshy I don’t know. What is this? What do I do?
Sorry for the horrible pictures I have no idea how to get a clear picture behind my ears.
I’ve had these second lobes for about 4 months. Less than a month ago I removed a helix and got third lobes.
Healing for seconds and thirds have been good until a few days ago. I must’ve slept on it weird or something. I clean it with saline solution and q tips and it’s been healing perfectly. But now when I use a q tip there’s dried blood. It hurts when i press a certain part it’s like a wound has opened. It hurts while my thirds are perfectly fine.
What is this? It feels like something is wrong. I’m worried this isn’t normal. But if it is, it would help to know what I can do from now on
I have course, thick, dense, poofy waves. I got a haircut today (first two pics) and asked it to be styled to my natural wave because I’ve never had a routine that really worked for me. My stylist put in curl cream, mousse, finger twirled, scrunched, diffused it to 80% dry, then a serum. I feel like if a stylists couldn’t get my hair to actually be wavy I should just give up and heat style it all the time.
I have gotten it wavier but it always dries so messy and poofy it doesn’t even look good. With the amount of frizz and hair I have I always wished that curls were just hiding in there but this seems impossible. My hair is longer now so it’s heavier but it’s always been BARELY wavy. I’ve been trying the wavy hair thing since covid but i’ve never actually had nice hair this way. It always looks unkempt.
I’ve tried plopping, gel, curl cream, mousse, leave in conditioner, but nothing seems to really do anything? I could be using bad products but I don’t know. I’m fed up with my hair and just want to give up trying to call this wavy hair when I always look like I just crawled out of bed.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can actually style my hair naturally and have it not be a mess? Or is this just not waves and it really is just frizzy straight hair?
latest routine (haven’t been using any curl products lately): Cerave hydrating shampoo, Tsubaki conditioner scrunch in shower, strictly curls curl cream, kinky custard, scrunch, air dry
