Exposing App Wage Manipulation: 2-Minute Anonymous Driver Survey (Results will be shared back here!)

(i promise all the questions are like this btw there's maybe 12 multiple choice questions and your responses would help me out a lot! Im putting the link uptop incase you don't wanna scroll but the details of my study are listed below as briefly as I could https://forms.gle/vb6CrYsd8XtyNn2y7 )

Hey everyone!!

We all know earnings are dropping and that the platforms are constantly squeezing us. But as an economics student researcher, I’m trying to go a step further: I want to mathematically prove exactly how these apps use hidden trip destinations, opaque pricing, and short countdown timers to panic us into accepting low-ball orders just to protect our metrics. The companies use our own behavioral data against us to find the absolute lowest wage we will take before logging off. I call this the "Monopsony of One" where the app isolates you on your screen so you can't see what anyone else is making. If you have just 2 minutes while waiting for an order, please fill out this completely anonymous academic survey. No names, no email logins, and no financial details are collected. Survey Link: https://forms.gle/vb6CrYsd8XtyNn2y7

Note: I will post the unedited data charts and final results right back in this community so we can see the collective evidence of how these algorithmic tricks impact our bottom line. Thank you for your time and stay safe out there!

Exposing the Algorithm: How apps use short timers and masked data to drop our pay

(This is generally what the questions will look like, pretty basic multiple choices i promise)

Hey everyone!!

We all know earnings are dropping across the board, but it's not an accident. The apps are deliberately using psychological tricks like 15-second countdown timers, hidden drop-off locations, and acceptance rate penalties to panic yall into taking low-ball $3 orders.

I'm an economics student doing a research project to mathematically prove how these interface tricks force drivers to work below their baseline reservation wage and isolate us. The goal is to build an actual academic dataset exposing how these platforms use monopsony power to manipulate our choices.

The survey is completely anonymous, doesn't ask for any personal or financial info, and takes less than 3 minutes

Click here to drop your data into the pool: https://forms.gle/1yTpLUruRi7iTtoCA Or click here

I know yall get slammed with spam constantly, but this data will be used purely to back up drivers with economic facts. Once the study is done, I will post the full charts and results right back to this subreddit so everyone can see the data.

Thank you to anyone who can spare 2 minutes while waiting for an order. Safe driving out there!

Note: Sharing your name is totally optional, but providing your email is required so we can verify unique responses and send you a copy of the final research results when we finish! Any data provided will be used for research purposes only
