Having less pain since I started decreasing my daily dose

I have a hard time explaining this. I was on 75mg at night and 25mg in the evening. I started decreasing at 50mg at night, it’s been 5 days now. My residual pain actually improved since then. How is that possible ?

Feeling dizzy/nauseous days after flight

I flew back home on a 9 hour flight Tuesday night. It was the highest anxiety I ever felt during a flight. We had lots of turbulence in the last two hours of the flight. I almost didn’t eat all day, I was too nauseous.

It’s been now three days since I’m back and I’ve been feeling dizzy and nauseous. I usually feel like I’m still on the plane when I lay down the first night right after the flight, but that’s usually it. I’m not very hungry, I feel constantly dizzy and I have nausea that comes and goes.

Has anyone experienced symptoms after taking the plane for this long ? Maybe it’s the severe bursts of anxiety my body is trying to recuperate from ?

Asking for tracking - flight back home !

Hi!! Flying today from Nice (NCE) to Montreal (YUL) on flight TS629. It will be my first flight without my partner ever. She usually is the one calming me down during takeoff and turbulence, but she’s leaving tomorrow from a different airport since she went to see her family in another part of the country. I’m already about to throw up just waiting at the airport and I am sweating my a** off.

I can’t wait to be back home and see my cats, but I feel I have an big challenge to go through before reaching the comfort of my house.

I would love if someone tracked the flight, it would make me feel safer ❤️‍🩹

Flying back home in 4 days alone and scared

My vacation in France is coming to an end. I’ve been here since July 16th and I’m coming back home on Tuesday. I came here with my partner, but she is leaving to go see her family in another part of France tomorrow while I stay in the south a few more days with my best friend who lives here. We will be coming back home one day apart from each other since we are not leaving from the same airport.

I will be flying by myself for the first time since 2013. In the last 13 years, my fear of flying grew significantly worse. The last few years I’ve been travelling with my partner and she was always there to calm me and hold me during take off and turbulences. During those moments I have panic attacks, I cry and shake like a leaf and Insweat A LOT.

On Tuesday, I will be by myself for the longest flight I’ve ever been on (almost 9 hours) and I have lots of anxiety. I don’t want to bother everyone around me during the flight, I don’t want to bother the staff, I just want to be back home in my bed with my cats and eventually my girlfriend.

That’s it, I wanted to rant. I’m leaving from Nice airport to Montreal, in case I have a flight twin !

I’m on vacation right now and it made me realize I need to lose weight

TW : ED

Little backstory : I’ve (31F) been bigger all my life. I did all kind of sports but had a big appetite since I was little. In university and in my mid-20s, I suffered from anorexia and bulimia. I had a very quick and massive weight loss I slowly gained back through the last years. I’ve been powerlifting for almost three years when I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my lumbar area (L5-S1) this January. I had to stop doing sports, including running, for a few months. Went back to running but not to the gym around April. Almost three weeks before leaving on vacation, I severely sprained my ankle while running and walked with crutches for two weeks. My ankle still hurts and I’m off running for at least 5 weeks. I am currently vegan, been for a few months, and been vegetarian for a few years. I don’t weight myself anymore, but I think I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been.

I’m currently in the south of France with my partner. We travelled here for a wedding and to see my partner’s family. We took a few days to visit villages on the French Riviera. It is beautiful there, but it is scolding hot outside.

Walking a lot under that heat is unbearable. It’s never been this hard for me to travel. We walk 15-20k steps a day but I’ve know days of 30k days during my travel days a few years ago. I feel if I had less weight in me, I would be less affected by the heat, less tired of walking around the beautiful coast, I would be more agile, more comfortable on the beach, etc.

I struggle with the idea of losing weight. I’ve been seeing a very body positive nutritionist who’s anti GLP-1 and anti-diet. I’ve always tried to accept that I don’t need to lose weight since I’m healthy, have no health issues (except mental health) and that so far, my body could do anything I wanted it to do.

I’m very confused about what to do about my body. I wish I was thinner, I would like to aim for muscle hypertrophy in my powerlifting journey, but I would also like to accept my body as it is.

About to board from Montreal (YUL) to Marseille (MRS)

I think it is the calmest I’ve ever been before a flight in many years. I still have a lot of anxiety but this trip is so important since we’re going for the wedding of my best friend so I feel it gives me courage.

I probably won’t have wifi onboard but it would make me feel much calmer if I knew some people on this sub were tracking me.

Fly safe everyone !

Ordering on Yachew ?

Posted yesterday about buying a SureFeed microchip feeder and we decided to buy it for our cats.

It is quite expensive and I found it on Yachew 50$CAD less than on Amazon with free shipping to Canada. I feel like it must be a scam but I read good reviews about this website.

https://ca.yachew.com/products/surefeed-microchip-pet-feeder-white-4-x-c-batteries-required

Did anybody else ordered pet stuff on Yachew that could confirm it is legit ?

Mibowl CP500 vs. Surefeed

One of our three cats got recently diagnosed with CKD and will need a special diet. We will have to control his portions and what he eats.

We bought feeders that open with a tag on a collar by I really don’t like the idea of my cats wearing a collar. We tried to put the collars on them but they didn’t seem to like it. The tag is big and in the way. I also read a collar might be dangerous for cats or bother them by irritating their skin, even if it’s well adjusted.

So we’re looking for a feeder that works with their microchip. We are looking at two options : the Mibowl CP500 and the Surefeed. I read great reviews on the Surefeed, but it’s pricier (keep in mind we have to buy 3 feeders).

Mibowl looks chunky/big but it’s more cheaper.

What are you reviews on these two feeders? Am I also too paranoid about the feeders with the collar ?

Confirmation of CKD stage 2 💔

Posted here a couple of weeks ago when we randomly found at the vet my two-years old cat Mousse had slightly high creatinine levels. Today he had an echo of his kidneys and it confirmed he has CKD, between stage 1 and 2.

I don’t understand. He’s only two years old, was always healthy except for ear infections. He only started drinking more water than usual a couple of weeks ago.

My partner and I are devastated. The vet ordered some more tests to evaluate proteins in his urine and phosphorus (I think) to plan what meds/food he should eat. She said CKD cats usually live between 3-4 years old after the stage 2 diagnosis. I try to stay positive but I don’t want my little boy to suffer and live a shortened life.

Any success story or advice will be immensely helpful.

My youngest cat has been diagnosed with stage 2 renal failure today. We went to the vet on Monday for a possible ear infection and I mentioned he seemed to be drinking more lately. The vet suggested to do a blood test, which showed slightly elevated creatinine levels. We went again this morning for a urine sample that confirmed there were no infection or kidney stones, which indicated kidney failure. The vet is very surprised for a cat this young to have kidney failure.

Aside from drinking more, our cat is acting perfectly normal. He runs, jumps, eats and sleep normally and doesn’t seem to be in pain. He’s very cuddly like usual.

We are waiting for an appointment with a specialist vet in June. Meanwhile, our vet told us to not change anything (all of our cats our already on urinary food). She didn’t seem to be worried but my partner and I are very stressed and sad about the news. We don’t really know what’s happening and what to expect. I guess we would like to read about other cats who had a similar diagnosis at such a young age to be reassured.
