Fiance and I decided to check one of our local resale shops after a quick visit to Goodwill and we made out like bandits! They don't usually have a lot of jewelry, but it turns out that it was because no one was taking the time to bag and price it all. We went through a couple of bins and found a bunch of sterling, pearls, and even a 14k gold lapel. We ended up paying a little over 260 dollars for everything after they applied their weekly 50% discount, but we found a lot of good stuff!

After about 2 to 3 weeks of not finding anything, I finally broke my dry spell! I told my fiance we should visit our usual spots early in the morning, and the hunch paid off! I found this beautiful Sterling and 14k belt buckle at our first thrift store! I am no hunter, but I will definitely try to find a way to use this! We try to use all of our finds.

I ended my 2 to 3 week dry spell with this beauty! I told my fiance we should go thrifting early morning and this is what I found in a bin full of costume jewelry at one of my favorite spots! A Sterling silver belt buckle with 14k gold inlay! I am no hunter, but I'll definitely find a way to wear this!

First pure silver buy! Set of five arrived today!

Got a couple of spoons at a new thrift store today, but I've not been able to identify both makers and purities. Any clues or opinions? Thank you!

Fiance and I went out thrifting after I got out of work today. We found a big bin full of random silverware pieces and spent quite a bit of time sorting through it. We ended up finding 4 nice pieces of sterling after about a week of not finding anything! We spent 1 dollar a piece.

Fiance found this necklace with a hefty stainless steel pendant at Goodwill! Sadly, the chain is too short for us to use as a necklace, and too long for us to use as a bracelet. Nonetheless, we're always happy to find silver on the cheap!

Sterling silver pepper grinder! Seems to be a thin layer of sterling over wood, but a good find nonetheless! We spent a bit of time looking for the matching pair, but we never found it.

Fiance found a cake server with a sterling handle. We paid 3 bucks for it and some other random kitchen utensils. Now I feel like we have to go thrifting every day!

Fiance found this funky looking spoon at a local thrift store. This is a keeper for sure!

Went out thrifting last Sunday and I came across this belt at a "vintage clothing" shop nearby. I'm pretty sure the buckle is made out of Mexican Sterling. The only problem is that...it seems to be missing a piece on the opposite end (tip).

One of the lower leaves of my tree (Black Celeste in a 5 gallon pot) is looking like this and I'm not sure why. Most of the other leaves look just fine and the tree is loaded with figs, but this is making me worry I might be doing something wrong. I am in Texas, growing zone 7b. I water this guy about once a day now that it's very hot outside.

Found this cool little dish at my local resale shop. It was just sitting there in a cabinet for 4 bucks. I actually ended up getting it for 2 since everything was 50% off today.

Went out thrifting the day after my birthday and had the biggest score of my life! After I came across this piece, I continued to shop to calm down. Ended up buying a few clothing items as well. I had such a friendly conversation with the cashier that he decided to throw this in as a freebie! I will probably keep this forever because what are the odds of this happening on your birthday weekend?!
