CTA boss avoids potential grilling for second time as Council members skip meeting

Embarrassing to have missed two meetings due to no quorum. If any of these are your aldermen, please reach out to them. If they aren't going to show up for these meetings they shouldn't be on the committee.

>Ald. David Moore (17th), who attended the meeting virtually and did not count toward a quorum, told the Sun-Times he was disappointed so few members showed that they couldn’t ask questions.

>Panel member Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd), who missed Wednesday’s meeting, told the Sun-Times he has among the highest attendance rates on the City Council.

>Also missing were Jason Ervin (28th), Jeylu Gutierrez (14th), Ronnie Mosley (21st), Jessie Fuentes (26th) and Desmon Yancy (5th).

Longest ride yet! Thanks again for the tips!

I’ve only been riding for a few weeks and decided to bike to Midsommar Fest since transit would have been much slower.

Thanks for all the tips in my previous post! It’s been a lot of fun and very liberating. This ride was a bit of a workout which was nice.

New street rider tips?

Hello! I just moved to Logan Square and got a bike to ride around town and maybe eventually ride over to Lakeview. What are some tips for riding in the street as a noob?

I'm going to practice in the parking lot by my apartment in the meantime, since it has bee a long time since I've ridden. I got front/back lights and a good lock. I am also going to register mine with the CPD.

Thanks!

CTA Smoking Statistics

A new statistics page has been added to ctasmokers.com! Reports are also now shared with the CTA through their chat bot, so any report submitted will be forwarded to them directly.

Since launching in late February, I've been collecting aggregate data per CTA line. That data is now shown in a filterable format on ctasmokers.com/stats. You can click on a particular line to see trends, and any view is shareable via URL.

The data is also accessible via API. Documentation for the aggregate endpoints can be found on the API GitHub repo.

CTA Smokers Statistics

In an update to my previous post, I wanted to share that a new statistics page has been added to my site, ctasmokers.com! In addition, reports are also shared with the CTA through their chat bot, so any report you make on my site will be forwarded to the CTA.

Since the end of February when the site launched, I have been collecting aggregate data per CTA line. That data is now shown in a filterable format on ctasmokers.com/stats. You can also click on a particular line to see the trends. When a query is made, the URL is updated with the parameters to make a particular view sharable.

The data is also accessible via API. Documentation for the aggregate endpoints and others can be found on the API GitHub repo.

Thanks and let me know what you think!
