I've some left over GE and when the 50% sale rolls around I'm fairly settled on getting the Fr-1.

But before I do does anyone have any tips / pitfalls for it? Like does it snap roll or have suddenly departures in hard turns? Does it let you know when to back off on the elevator or just suddenly throw you into a spin?

I've got the Harrier, the F-117, and about to get the Magach 6b Gal...

What are people's recommendations and why for squadron vehicles?

I have a signature overlay of decals on my tailfin, but since the update it's random which of actually appears, and one of them has a new thick black border.

Anyone else having issues with decals since the update?

An advert popped up yesterday for Arma on my Xbox.

Obviously it looked like it would be something I'd enjoy or I wouldn't be here now. However the other cross platform games I play leave the console proletariat at varying degrees of disadvantage...

I was wondering how much of a disadvantage are console users at Vs pc users in Arma?

To clarify ...

So for an example in Holdfast, there is a definite lag between pc and console. So if a pc player and a console player both attack at the same time the pc player will win 99% of the time (particularly noticeable in melee).

As a result it's incredibly frustrating swinging at someone and in the intervening milliseconds it takes to actually happen they've moved / parried / stabbed you.

(I already use KnM btw).

I just finished researching the F-117, and need to pick a new squadron vehicle I've essentially narrowed it down to the Magach gal or the T-80u.

The T-80U would purely be to boost my progress up the Swedish tree to the 8.0 region, while the Magach would be to break into the IDF tree and make my way up to 9.3.

I'm not interested in top tier mostly because I'm just interested in modern stuff and secondly due to the proliferation of "super gaming chairs" at the higher tiers.

What are people's thoughts / advice?

Yesterday I noticed several people hanging around airfields spawn camping (booo hiss), with the airfield cannons making lots of noise and fireworks but actually achieving naff all squared in a box...

This was definitely the low level auto cannons, but probably also the high altitude stuff too as att least one me263 was able to perform multiple runway bombings at around 2000m.

Not sure if it's just one map or all but definitely worth remembering on your take off and landings!

As the title says, the AAA in Heli EC now shoots down ATGM rendering low rank helix like the SA313 useless.

Well done Devs, you've made a crap mode even worse.

My main stamping ground is ec2 with occasional forays into ec4 (Sea Fury) & 5 (Attacker), where I mostly fly Hurricane mk2's, B-239, and Re.2002.

I can generally hold my own, but when the lobbies rotate to 3.7 I'm pretty much outclassed to especially in the hurricanes and Re.2002.

I'm finding it difficult to find something to fly at 3.7 or 5.0 / 6.3 that feels the same and has a nice cockpit. The J2M2 cockpit feels too busy with the armoured glass insert, the Ki-100 feels quite ... I dunno boxy? 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I do already fly the Attacker effectively at 7.7 (k:d 1.8) but those lobbies are sadly usually dead.

Any ideas?

I'm creating a patch for my vest / battle jacket and I'd like to do a combined Choctaw & Irish flag or symbol.

Google shows me "the great seal" but I was wondering if that is actually used in the same way as our Harp?
