Great musical, but why so short?

It's Orpheus and Eurydice, but they have a happy ending, which nobody's ever given them before. That said, it's weird that the musical's so short, like only 8 songs is crazy for a Broadway show, but I guess any longer and it would've felt dragged out and very repetitive.

How I think the Epic movie(s) should go (Spoiler Tag as a precaution)

Hi, all. This is my first post here. I recently listened to Epic, and, surprise surprise, fell in love. And just in time for the talk of a movie, and it just so happens I'm a film student too, so I wanted to share some ideas for how I'd do this adaptation, and what I hope to see in the proper movie.

Please keep in mind, I am in NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM actually working on the movie, I'm an early 20s kid still in college that just got a new hyperfixation.

The Sagas

So, seeing as the whole musical is already lengthy af(clocking in at almost 2.5 hours), I think it would be for everybody's best interest if the movie was split into two, Wicked style.

1-EPIC: The First Saga

So, obviously, the First Saga would cover Act One, Troy-Underworld. However, rather than instantly starting in the middle of the Trojan War, I think it'd be better to open on Odysseus and his men preparing to leave. We focus on Ody, as he says goodbye to his son, his mother, and, of course, Penelope. He then heads onto the ship, and the crew head to Troy. THEN, we get the opening song and the rest of the first act.

2-EPIC: The Final Saga

Here's where I might get really controversial(key word; "might", idk the online consensus of most songs), I personally think Suffering, a great song, is somewhat weak as an opening song. I also think it's jarring to cut from Ody sacrificing his crew to Telemachus singing a Disney song. So, how do you do this in a film?
Simple, open on Telemachus singing Legendary. Then, when Athena is getting caught up on Ody, we, the audience, see the entirety of the Thunder Saga, and we can smoothly transition to Love in Paradise(minus the beginning with the other songs, obviously). From there, the rest of the musical is in order.

Style and Rating

Animated. Please, make it animated. I'd personally love to see it made with cel shading, but I'd be happy if it's just animated.
Also, let's face it, with the amount of gore and deaths this musical has, not even mentioning the entirety of Hold Them Down, I think it would/should be rated R.

Cast

I could see one of two casts happening; 1) bring back the original cast. People love them, they're iconic as these characters and it's difficult to hear other people playing them. 2) celebrity cast. Not my favored option, but it's a sure-fire way to get some talk and butts in seats.

That's it for now. Let me know how horribly I cooked or if you agree if you want.
